I would like it brought to the attention of CCP that BACON and applications like it are detrimental to the game in general. If you want protection from wardecs and low/0.0 space pirates you should use in game means.

I travel with local open, I'm constantly scanning the space around me, every trip through empire is tinged with the fear off death. I think it's me that has the enhanced game experience.

Look at all dem Hydra with the "not signed".
Whether or not ccp officially sanctioned the app or not is not of any importance, the CSM is here to represent the players not CCP. Some players don't like it, and want the issue clarified at least.
As you should be more than aware (apparently you are not) action against this does not mean they will simply turn it off (no matter how much I might want that), they may well decide that (like local standings) they want to include it in the client.
Either way this motion is simply to get the opinions of those that want it looked at to those that should here them. There is a simple reason that CCP did not include a "thumbs down" option. They don't want other people silencing other peoples opinions.
In conclusion you are all stupid.

Sorry for my late response, while I agree that it would be easier to manage if the issue was question based I feel that there are a multitude of questions involved here and I was hoping that the reasoned debate in this thread would highlight the most pertinent of them. From my side I am mostly worried about escalation, as some have said in the thread there are worries that in order to remain competitive you'll have to use specific 3rd party out of game tools, much like how World of Warcraft turned out. I'm a big supporter of a level playing field and I really just want to make sure that CCP understands how important this issue is to some people.
