Edited by: JVol on 23/05/2008 08:13:04 It seems to be a topic that the CSM's havent responded to as of yet. When you kill someone, the can that drops should be your/his as far as ccp go's. ANYONE else taking from the can that isnt in one of the persons/corps involved in the pvp should be flagged. War is a profession to some of us, and combat happens where it happens, so save the 'fight in Low se or 0.0 ' crap.
My logic behind this is simple, Eve IS a pvp game, random folks in the vicinity of combat shouldnt be able to take loot out from under the winners nose WITHOUT risking being poped by the guy/corp that just MADE that wreck. The risk just isnt there atm. Its a free for all whenever you have a decent fight, low sec or highsec, not a problem in 0.0 cause common sence and the risk keep people from rolling up and taking your loot.
Wrecks: Killing a a player owned ship should flag the wreck to the corps/persons involved in the fight. T2 salvage is FAR to valuable to just allow neuts to take it. Would this destroy Eve? I think not, who would be negitivly effected by this? IMO, just parisites that like the free loot with no risk.

Your statement makes no sense. Please try harder to describe the present mechanics, where you believe they are failing and the changes to them you would like to see implemented.
You are attempting to garner support from a broad cross section of players so please use clear english and avoid jargon, slang, abbreviation and biased rhetoric.

I did decsribe present machanics, and I stated what the change should be.. I dont need a lecture form you on grammar,or post composition. The Op was VERY clear, reread it if you dont understastand it the first time. And if you must respond again, make it about the topic

I disagree. You have failed to outline the issue clearly.
You also fail to take criticism constructively. Please try harder.

Proposed game mechanics alterations are complicated enough to discuss without poor proposals clouding the issues.
Think what you want but the OP made a poor job of it.

WHATEVER!! Do you get the point!? Do you understand what i was trying to convay, AT all? IF you do, then what do you think about it? Enough with the critque on HOW is was written!
The point is simple and easy to grasp, a pvper's loot should be flaged the same as a mission runners loot, take it and go flashy.
Any other out of work english teachers feeling the need to pick apart my post please refrain.
I would still like to hear a CSM wade in here or even a DEV.. I think this topic needs to be talked about.

You really could do with taking a step back and considering whether my criticism is primarily concerned with your use of English or with your specific failure to surmise the issue.
Could you please outline precisely how the game mechanic works at present?
Who does the can belong to? Who is flagged from looting it?
For your proposed change, please outline the same.
Who, precisely, should be flagged upon looting the can?
Should the victim's corp mates be flagged?
Should the victim's gang mates be flagged?
Should the attacker's corp mates?
Should the attacker's gang mates?
What effect should war declarations have upon the flagging mechanics?
Should your proposal be considered as part of a wider ranging overhaul of criminal / enemy flagging in general, or would you just prefer to see a quick fix to this issue now?
Please try to put aside your ill-advised hostility and consider this issue clearly from all angles.

if you read the op, he makes it clear that the wreck should become the ownership of the killer (Final Blow)and if someone takes from it, they should be flagged to said killer (Final Blow-er), making it possible to shoot / destroy their ship.
It's like when you run a mission, the dropped wreck are flagged to you, and anyone that takes from then are able to be shot.
so, stop being such a douche and trying to correct his non-needed corected english. ~~~~~~ doin it for the stats

If you have a problem with thieves, war dec them, isn't that your way of doing things?
I think a better balance is to punish npc corp pilots by flagging them if they steal. People in corporations can be war decced so no need to flag them.
War deccing corporations have it too easy already. They need to remain organized and scoop the loot faster instead of being lazy.

It takes 24hr to war dec a corp
that corp will most likely sit in station all day
or that corp members can make an alt corp to escape the dec.
it's better to flag anyone whom takes from the wreck. ~~~~~~ doin it for the stats

War dec them? How's THAT going to get my loot back? How's that give him the 'risk' he deserves from stealing? I'm lazy, because my BS cant cover the 20km to the wreck as fast as the parasites ship can? Comon, you play eve, you HAVE to have better responses than THESE! lol. So far ive heard no intelligent reasons why my proposed changes or something similar would harm eve in any way. If anything it would make it a bit more interesting, as youd have guys purposely taking loot to get some gungho pvp junky to attack them. pew pew for everyone, and consequences Haven't even heard a good reason opposing it yet...

Your proposal is just to make life easier for giant wardec pirates like Privateers who wardec innocent and none violent corporations to extort hard earned isk and loot from.
The wardec system needs an overhaul really. You should not be able to war dec a corporation unless a member of the corporation did something to you. The best way to do that is you must war-dec them while they are flagged against you for some crime.
Requires some interesting corporation mechanic changes as well.
Now you can get creative instead of taking us for fools.

Because douche bags like you hide behind NPC corps to escape reprisals via war dec ...
Same as posting with someone in a NPC corp ... you can go about being a trash talker and Not worry about someone setting you straight ingame ...
NOW grow a pair .. or STFU

Are you kidding me? THIS is your intelligent responce? You sound like a beat down 12 year old. Why has it gotta be the 'privateer' thing , again? What about faction warfare, arent you gonna want your loot? If you have a problem with the wardec system I suggest you make a post about it and we can talk about it there, here were talking about pvp loot/wreck rights. And you STILL didint say one way that this change would harm eve in any way...
