That's because it was at double speed or similar.

Heh, the camerawork is 'twitchty' because I doublespeeded the footage to fit it all in 4 minutes. (Didn't think people would sit for 8...)

Very good movie, one of the smoothest I've seen (and doubling the speed helps keep things interesting). I've been attempting to make my own videos, and with my geforce 5600+, athlonxp2000, gig of ddr ram, the MOST I can get out of FRAPS is 15 frames per second at half size. Might I ask how you people get such a good capture rate? Or is it possible my computer just can't handle the load of EVE and video capturing. á

Quite the Contrary, Mr. Kakalot. The music is almost always quite well synched. Bravo, Nilkarus, Bravo. -------------------------------------------

I was having the same problem with my recording. As Nilkarus hangs out in one of my channels I asked him for help, he uses 2 HD's so I got myself another HD and works without lag now only trouble I have now is that FRAPS doesn't record the whole screen.

yeah good stuff. however as a new player i ve yet to see the destruction of an bs from start to finish. often with these vids there seem to just show the kill, is it possible to do a extended edition showing the battle in full with no cuts??

There are some problems with that...
1. At first, you have a lot of the user interface showing. When the kill is getting close, the person with fraps can hide the user interface and only get the part where it looks cool.
2. The tactics involved are revealed. Some tactics are already revealed as it is, but it'll be even more obvious if you do it that way...
3. It uses a lot of hdd space (approx. 7MB/second for me)

Yea, as Polux said, I use a second HD to store the raw footage. Gets things away from where the windows swap file is and the drive EVE is running on. A fast HD helps too, with the speed of computers and video cards these days, the bottleneck for recording video these days lies in how fast your HD can save the data.

Heh, I have a tendency not to record things fully. Only after the target has been warp scrambled, or there's a very high chance of things going 'boom' do I hit the record button. Otherwise, I'd have to wade through gigs of a lot of fights where fire is exchanged and nothing interesting happens at all. I think out of the 14 fights shown in the video, I only have full coverage of two of them. (From lock to explosion.)

Well, the fight at the end went on for quite a while... Lots of fire exchanged, what was shown was the only battleship that went down during it all. Shortly after that, JQA disengaged and nothing much more happened.

Uh, if I recall, that one was "Crashing Around You" by Machine Head...

Heh, I think I deleted it... It's a remix of a theme song of a 70's sci-fi show that I used to watch as a kid... Free cookies to those that guess the show.
