I had a corp mate recently podded by a peep from a 196 member corp. This peep informed my mate that our nOOb corp was listed as "kill on sight" and that he had been ordered to kill him. I didn't think Cold Fusion was a pirate corp so we're kinda weirded out by this.
Seeing as how our corp is 2 weeks old and only has 8 members, what do ya'll think is the likelihood of this being tru? If so, why? And if not, why would this podder use this excuse?

Ah, forgot to mention..
My corp has never been to 0.0 space...none of us even own a bs yet. This kos designation is a puzzle atm, if tru. It could be just a lie for that fella to use as an excuse, but we're still trying to find that out.
My corp name is Mithril Masters Security Corp.

Because they can. If your not big enough to do something about it, they can pick on you with impunity, no one will care, and can cancel the war slot any time they want. the solution - make a new corp, keep yours as active, and eat up their war slot. That's some serious payback when they have a war slot wasted for months and no one to kill.

Xavier Perez is correct on 1 point.
Your small they big. U can do almost anything you want when you have a huge corp at your hands. No one tries pushing you around much. Besides that you can't to crap to them.
They might of done it for training practice with new setups. I know thats not uncommon hehe. Fear The Bunny

Cold Fusion do what they wish cuz they are big, they have alot of bullies in their corp, just move and ignore them. Don't pay any attention to the FA kill list, unless you REALLY get them rilled up most will ignore you. Unless you hang out like 5 jumps away you really have nothing to fear from what i have seen. The kill list is b.s.
Please stop being a third rate flamer,I am tired of reactivating my account just to kick your ass. |

I can tell you that Cold fusion Doesn't go around killing innocent people on purpose. We don't gate camp and demand money for passage. We're not a pirate corporation.
Edited because I misread the post. Sorry.

If you are attacked by a member of cold fusion it is usually because of an act of hostility in our direction. We do not openly fly around killing people at random and several of our new corp members in empire have been attacked by certain corps and if you were caught in the cross fire that is regrettable and you can rely on the fact that cold fusion was not out to harm you or your corp in any way.

It really sucks that your only option is to abandon your corp. You shouldn't have to fight a war in Empire space unless you consent to it. Otherwise, what is the point of having CONCORD and security status at all?
Non-consentual wars in Empire have run their course. Time to scrap it and come up with a better system, because this kind of issue is becoming a recurring theme in EVE.
I've been talking to a lot of people who are fairly new to EVE and are being warred by very established corps, and I think it sucks. CCP needs to remedy this situation ASAP.

We found out that, unfortunately, my mate had gotten caught in the middle of a corp war trying out his new caracal. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time and Cold Fusion is NOT trying to kos my corp members. :)
The corp ceo graciously offered to make it right for him and we are very grateful.
Woot!

Would you enjoy it if someone caught you in a station in 0.0 and camped outside it in an interceptor for jamming and multiple battleships for weeks and even months until you quit EVE?
Would you enjoy it if a 200-member corp declared war on your pathetic carebear-pirate corp and trapped you all in empire space stations until the corp disbanded?

I highly doubt anyone could camp you to death
1: it is very very easy to hide in eve its a big universe 2: people get very bored of camping after awhile i served the sa c4 and ca in the past so i knwo how boring camping can be . 3: its not very hard to run blockades 4: Lastly you can always join a new corp --------------------------------------

Ishkur, You could try reading the thread this is not about a CONCORD war its about KOS lists.
Stop bringing your whining about non concentual war into every thread. It is a pvp game the vast majority of the playerbase does not see orange brakets at every empire gate. THATS why concord is their to protect most of the ppl most of the time not all of the ppl all of the time.
There is not now and never can be a "concentual" war. Agreeing would make it a duel or a sporting competition not a war.

Actually I wouldn't really care. It would be pretty funny that they would waste so many man-hours trying to keep us bottled up . But then again, we've fought those types of wars before, and it is usually us locking people into stations. Just ask Black Lotus Corporation.

very funny topic, again of course it turned out that it all was a missunderstanding.
how can anyone seriously think a huge corp would waste time to gank a tiny noob corp???
it s a simple fact, it does not happen.
just another abused stupid argument from idiots who want to ban war from high sec space, without wasting a thought on effects.

OK after reading thru the comments made let me clear the issue up once and for all.
There is no corp war involved at all in this incident. A CFI combat team were in beke (at least i think that was the name) pursueing a corp to which we have hostilites against due to them podding our newer members. Senkoomteps corp m8 arrived in the system mid way thru our search for our targets, as he arrived in the system, his info was checked, and i called him as KOS. This was due to the fact that there have been numerous corps assisting the people that we were after and he was flying a characal (which lets be fair is completly useless for doin anythin exept attacking players) and i didnt want to take any chances under the circumstances, which i wont bore u with here.
I understand that CFI has put this situation right. I hope this clears the issue up.

If you don't want to run the risk of a war in empire space then do not create a corp or join a corp. Stay in a newb corp.
Joining a corp has advantages but also disadvantages. Its up to you to decide if the extra risk is worth the extra gains.
Consensual war is fine, so long as their is always a limited way to wage none-consensual war.

Beke was exactly where it happened, and the issue is totally cleared up for us. The dead m8 was told by the guy that whacked him that our corp was KOS. We thought it was strange at the time but we've only been in EVE for a month so we weren't sure what was normal and what wasn't.
Thanks for all the input on this issue...everything that happens to us, bad or good, just makes us better players.
