These are the ones under Escrow, usually listing rewards around 20-50k ISK; so far so good, but they all involve millions in collateral and insane amounts of cargo to transport.
Just a silly thought from a noob, but shouldn't the rewards be commensurate with the risk involved? ;) Not to mention...well, I don't see anyone going for a 20k reward who has millions on hand.
Is this the way they're supposed to work? --- Mining & Transport - Logistics Division - Hadean Drive Yards

In the case of packages too big to carry with millions of isk in collateral, they're either
a) A legitimate attempt to set up a courier mission by someone without a clear sense of a thing's worth, or the average capabilities of their target market. There are some people with Iteron V's and best cargo expanders attatched, but only rarely do they bother with player run courier missions for total strangers, and trusted parties can be given Escrow goods restricted to themselves only - so no collateral or payment nonsense would be necessary in those cases.
b) an attempt to scam a new mission runner by offering an impossible set of circumstances to complete the mission (ie, transport an packaged newbie ship from point a to point without breaking the seal, stripping you of the collateral money permanently. The decent looking pay is just honey to attract a victim, and only a tiny fraction in any case of the collateral you end up paying to get ripped off.
There are a few other possibilities, but these are probably the most likely in the cases you're seeing. They work right - ie, oversized missions being made accidentally, or targetting the big haulers ... and courier mission fraud.

My hauling alt does player missions in his Itty 5 when I'm not mining. There's not much isk in it, and only a few people constantly supply missions with rewards of +200k, but it's something to do.
Although I must say, it's not something a n00b can do effectively, especially since most people pay well for large amounts (20'000m3+) to get moved around.

Player missions are generally not worth looking at, but if you are doing the trip however and have the money for the collateral, 50k extra cash won't hurt ^^.

I really dont get the missions. What player would afford 100-200mil isk for collateral? And if he did afford that, why would he ever haul for many jumps for 200k isk?
I personally give hauling missions to trusted ppl with no collateral. If they can afford the collateral they wont even bother undocking for this amount.

If you're looking to make a career out of running player set missions, you will be doomed to a life of poverty. Instead, train up social, connections and negotiation and run agent missions. Far better pay
