A lot of people ask for global market not limited by region.
So some market agents could have ability to search entire eve market for user defined item. It could be simmilar to people search.
Or if you think that it is stupid for agents it could be payed station service under market menu.

I say no to global market. But this could be a good idea, with the right limitations. High standing required to the agent so not too many people could use the service, and I think you should only be able to search for one item in one region every X minutes.

Agreed. That's the most sensible suggestion made in quite a while.

I think it's a good idea but would be too powerful without restrictions. What if you can only check the market price for an item in particular foreign regions? So if you really wanted to get the full global pciture, you'd spend alot of time manually checking each region. Or the more experienced traders would know what are the hotter regions for particular items and they can spend little time finding the right info, letting them keep a bit of their advantage.

well there could be limitations to:
regions where that agent corporation is located regions where that agent faction is located entire eve market
price and preparing time of this service will be diffrent. Let's say. You ask for Item market info. First you pay and after 1 / 5 / 10 minute you receive your request. And price 1 000 / 10 000 / 50 000 isk.

This is a remarkably good idea.

Its a good idea - but i've got an even better one... just need a few days to finish writing it all up
(This + more - make agents into "Brokers" that never got out of beta)

It's weird that in a game that let's you talk instantly to anyone , anywhere in the universe you can't see prices from anywhere other than the local area.
Surely there are all sorts of avenues here that could be explored. Brokers, market prices delayed ( so you could say see your local region prices real time as now, 1 region away delayed by a few hours, 2 regions away by a day or whatever ), assets/equipment/office functions for corps that allow them to monitor prices, mercantile skills that allow the same etc.

Talking with someone in another region take minimum of server time. But loading data for 1 item on region market take samo time. Now count this time by numbers of regions. (don't know how many regions EVE have ) So for some big market and accepted lag market is set to regions.
