Just starting out on the slippery slope of inventing stuff. Understand (I think) what I need to get to invent (or, rather, have a chance at inventing) a T2 item. One of the problems (as I see it) lies with the size of the storage available in the mobile/advanced lab: 25,000m3. Slim chance at inventing a Golem there then since you won't be able to place a Raven (a T1 item) with the rest of the stuff inside the lab? Or don't people generally bother with T1 ships for ship invention jobs?
Thanks

You can do inventions without t1 items

You place the ship in a corp hangar in the station that has your POS. If the system doesn't have a station I think a corp hangar array would suffice. Lastly, you don't need a ship it just helps your chances.

There is no possible way adding any ship that is over 25,000m3 will improve the chance enough to make it worth doing. Just think about the cost it adds and what sort of % improvement you'd need to see in order to justify that. Now take into account that adding meta 0 modules shows no noticable advantage over hundreds of tests.

This is just wrong. Why in the world would you post this without having any experience in POS inventing? There are plenty of people who do have the experience and post on the forums often. There are also numerous guides and posts explaining that everything needed for a POS job except for the blueprint has to be in the array, so there is really no excuse for you passing on this misinformation.
I have direct experience with this and can confirm that there is no way to select a ship or other T1 Base item for the invention job unless it is in the input division of the lab being used.
