Assuming you have shell access to a server somewhere or a proxy you can use this method of 2 programs.
Putty - http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html and SocksCap - http://www.spszone.com/thirdparty/sc32r234.exe
Step 1: Install Sockscap, Open program and go to file -> settings. Step 2: Under the tab SOCKS settings, change "socks server" to "localhost" or "127.0.0.1", then change "Port" to "8080". Step 3: Under Protocal select SOCKS Version 4, userid can be anything. Step 4: Hit the New button, give the profile a name. Hit browser and select your eveclient wherever you have it stored. Step 5: Move putty.exe somewhere you will remember. Step 6: open a command line and nagivate to the location of putty, Enter the following command editing the [] feilds to suit your info.
putty.exe -D 8080 -l [username-on-proxy-if-required] [Server IP]
for example.
c:/putty -D 8080 -l root xx.xx.xx.xx
After that is all setup, Start putty first and login. Start up socksCap and double click the profile you setup earlier.
If you did everything correctly eve will start up and connect.
there are other methods, just google SSH tunnel/free proxy.

At home, on your server/workstation (1) Get Cygwin from http://cygwin.com/ (2) Run the installer, first part is pretty straight forward, select the install path, select a download location. For most of these the default settings should be fine. (3) Once you get to the "Select Packages" screen scroll down to "NET" click the + to expand it. (4) Scroll down to openssh and click the circular arrows infront of it once. the n/a under the B column should now show a version number. (5) Click next and continue the installation with the default settings. (6) If applicable: open up port 22 on your firewall (7) If applicable: forward port 22 on your router to the pc you just installed cywin on (8) Run Cygwin by double clicking on the newly created desktop icon. (9) On the command prompt type "ssh-host-config" (without the "") (10) When the script asks you about "privilege separation," answer yes. (11) When the script asks to "create local user sshd," answer yes. (12) When the script asks to "install sshd as a service," answer yes. (13) When the script stops and asks you for "CYGWIN=" your answer is "ntsec tty" (without the "") (14) On the command prompt type "net start sshd" (without the "") you should get the following messages: The CYGWIN sshd service is starting. The CYGWIN sshd service was started successfully.
At work/school/wherever: (1) Install the Eve Client (2) create a new shortcut to eve.exe, right click it and hit properties. In the target box add "/server:localhost" at the end (without the "") it should look something like this: "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\eve.exe" /server:localhost (3) Get Putty.exe from http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html (4) Start up putty. On the first page type in the IP adres of your PC at home and make sure that the SSH radio button is selected. (5) In the left menu nagivate to Connections -> SSH -> Tunnels (6) For source port fill in "26000" (without the "") (7) For Destination fill in "87.237.38.200:26000" (without the "") (8) Hit add next to the source port area. (9) In the left menu go back to "Session" (10) In Saved Sessions fill in a name and click save. (11) Click Open, login with your home computers username and password (12) Fire up eve via the shortcut and play!
Part of this tutorial came from http://lifehacker.com/software/home-server/geek-to-live--set-up-a-personal-home-ssh-server-205090.php Other parts from http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=426676 And the rest from an hour of messing around.
