Hello everyone, here is my seccond post.
''What do you think eve is all about? It's a simple question that can be answered in million ways. I would say from personal experience that Eve-online is all about meeting new people, having fun after a hard day at work. But there is alot of appinons. Im open for alot of discussions. 1) Having fun by doing w/e you desire in the game world.
2) Saw a mate play it (XFire), downloaded the trial and started paying for a subscription.
3) Ppl getting all mad about pixels.
4) The ability to do whatever you wanna do, I also find some of the chronicles and stories interesting, me being a sci fi person.

I disagree, i'd still play eve if i lost all of my isk. I've tried it, had to start at the bottom. If eve was all about isk, then why play? Why dont we all just buy GTC's and sell them for isk. Ofcourse some people do, but its far from everyone in eve. I know alot who earn them their self, doing missions or ratting.

you don't really make a point there
to summarise:
-if i lost all my isk i'd grind more isk
-we should all buy gtc but not all of us can and some like to grind isk
so you mean eve is about grinding isk right?

Sorry guys, i wrote it wrong. Eve isnt only about isk, they make a difference ofcourse. But it dosent mean that much to me. I often borrow or give isk to a friend of mine if he lost his ship, or if he want a big ship. I would say the most important thing in the game is to make connections and meet new people, ofcourse there is alot of different appinions, but here's mine.

1) EvE doesn't have PvP. EvE IS PvP in its purest form. EvE is all about players contending for space, resources, and money.
2) Got sick of all the garbage cranked out in WoW and decided enough was enough. Deleted all my 70's and canceled the account. Nothing about the game seems appealing anymore. Not even the upcoming expansion. It's time for another MMO.
3) In all honesty, the Jihadists and Goons ingame. From what I've seen in articles and youtube videos, it's hilarious. I'd never join them nor condone their behavior, but I'm glad to see their presense and awkward behavior ingame has a significant impact.
4) I'm still a newbie so there's lots I haven't experienced yet. So far I'm just mining and it's a nice quiet pace that I enjoy. Eventually I'll get into more dangerous territory and start engaging in PvP combat, but baby steps first.

Homeworld, except on a ship level instead of an RTS game. Think about it: Resource gatherers, researchers, producers, combat, move around space. The corporations are simply the mothership. We're just the dysfunctional family in EVE.
2. How did you get started playing eve.
Purchased it on CD when it first came out. I was in my "Oh I wish there was something besides a fantasy MMO" thinking. I read the manual and was like: "Sweet as, it's like Homeworld except better. I can go explore, mine, and maybe work on some ships." PvP WAS NOT the selling point.
3. What is the most funny thing about eve.
Players who've turned this game into a PvP or die focus group. :P
4. What is it you enjoy, when your playing eve
It's what keeps me here: The fact it's space, and that I don't need to play constantly. What other MMO lets you log off for a week or more if you have to, and not feel completely left out? None...so far.

Eve is all about two things from what i've learned. It is about team work, and finding the right corporate to join, where you can meet new people and where you will get alot of help/support.
2. How did you get started playing eve.
My brother introduced me to the game, at first i felt it was rather weird, but i slowly got a hang of it, i was quite good (In my own little world). When i first tried to fight in lowsec, in a cruiser i got my ass kicked.
3. What is the most funny thing about eve.
I would say it's Goonswarm with all of their ''We are going to ruin the eve game'', cause they think they're so mighty but when others finally fight back they run.
4. What is it you enjoy, when your playing eve
It's the fact that this game isnt only about one person. It takes a team to make something new and better. Ofcourse theres alot of people who think its all about doing solo kills etc.. But far from it, if the corporates stopped producing ships, the solo guys would be rather useless.

1 Like any other game, escaping the real world and all its demands
2 Used to play Elite frontier, so when I saw the ad banner it looked like fun
3 Nothing overly "Funny" about eve apart from the few odd things the devs throw in like signs warning "watch out for the sign" and Monoliths described "Its full of stars". Most of the laughs come from friends and their exploits and antics.
4 See answer 1 plus being able to destroy computer generated enemy ships with the knowledge nobody is going to get upset by my actions.

Unrestrained Survivalism, Capitalism & Darwinism, Eve is about life, it is about emerging societies and nations - the rise and fall of great empires; it is a social experiment (What if we took xhundred thousand people, all with their own agendas & ideas how life should be lived & dumped them on a Virgin island with mimimal rules and supervision?).
2. How did you get started playing eve.
Saw the original Promo stuff years ago & WANTED it, never had the bandwidth to DL & play till reletively recently tho' but as soon as I did, it was the 1st thing I got & never regretted it.
3. What is the most funny thing about eve.
The Goons - without a doubt; they might be a major pain in the arse but boy, do they add colour to the game & TOP MARKS for those vids guys /thinking: 'Little Bees'/ - class act.
4. What is it you enjoy, when your playing eve
a) There is no 'Game Over' - you can not win or loose Eve
b) The fact that the REAL Eve lore & politics (not those 'events' that are dropped in @ random by CCP) is 100% player driven.
c) The whole community thing.
d) I get bored with doing one thing? - I go do another......EPIC FAIL?? - regroup & try again....
e) SO MUCH TO DO - SO LITTLE TIME TO DO IT!!

The times I'm focused; during fleet ops in 0.0, or solo/small gang hunting in lowsec, mining in dangerous places, spotting a nice fat profit on the market, ratting in 0.0 or lowsec.
missions are teh yawn, but neccessarry (how many c/s/r's in that word?)
