I don't know about everyone, but when I accidently or purposly ALT + Tab out of a Full screen session of EVE, when I return any portraits I then get have no light scourceing.
So I have to BOSH my cache and re-do all the portraits, which is a pain.
Why not add a extra item on the right click context menu, on all portraits in any chat window : [Regenerate mini-portrait]
This would seem to be an easy fix.

Ok i think i get you,
the mini pictures arnt the same when you re enter the game,
i have had that before too,
I would like a function that generates all the pictures in local,
I like to see all the pictures in local, and it takes a while if i ever wanted to see all the faces in a highway area,
so maybe an option in general settings to generate all pictures in chat channels as they/you enter, this then could be altered to perhaps regenerate all on command, to help out the image alteration problem

I have over 3000 people in my cache file for pictures. Its taken me ages to get all these.
Now the onlyway to fix a picture easy is to take make a capture of it. Go to the directory and get the picture ID. From there go to the other directory for where player pictures are stored and delete the related ID file for it. Then next time you click shall reupdate the picture.
The easiest fix there is.

Just turn windowed mode on, shove the title bar as far up as possible, and alt-tab away.

However wouldn't it be nice to be able to re-get the mini portrait by a simple right click menu.

So that's what that bug is!! I've been racking my brain trying to reproduce it (I very rarely play in full screen), and kept failing.
I just I hope I remember it ... is this in the known issues?
