It still could make it for the end of May. If u cast your mind back to just before Castor was released, from being tested on Chaos to full release on TQ was only around 2 weeks.
Also, the best time to make an announcment regarding Shiva would be on its 1 year Alpha anniversary

I wonder how many folk would die of shock if Shiva was released today during the extended DT? I know I would  (heh one can wish). |

They might have said "release in May" but did they state "2004" anywhere? Hmmm? Too slippery to pin down, those devs. I think they're all lawyers, not programmers.

Just let em be FFS, when Shiva is ready you'll know, if it's not ready you think starting a thread about it daily is gonna have it released any sooner? Let em work out the bugs add what they wanna add and release when they feel it's ready, till that time keep yourself happy with content that's there already or go play lineage2 for a couple of weeks, but stay of the boards.

It is not really a huge problem that they delay it, I mean tell me one software company that always makes the right estimations!
But the least they can do is keep us up to date and tell us what they estimate now instead of just not saying anything.
Also for future references I would suggest ccp to add 2 months at least to their estimations because right now that has seemed to happen every single time.
I am not able to make correct estimation myself either, so I let other people who can do it for me (at work).

Expect it at the end of May. They are about to place a good amount of prep items for it. They also need to fix the database lag problem.
This will be a month long saga. This product will be the most overwhelming project any online game has ever done. I would rather have pieces at a time than shoving a full pizza in my mouth. Give me a piece at a time and let me chew on it.

Stop being so impatient. The devs and such said May... it's May, but may is a LONG month. Ya'll sound like a bunch of kids in the backseat of the car (me when I was little perhaps) going "Are we there yet... are we there yet... are we there yet...." 
Well kids... don't make the devs turn the server around and roll us back a couple of patches instead of getting their work finished. Give 'em time to get things rolled out right. 
Now on June 1st, if we don't have Shiva, then I say we all fly to Iceland and hold a major protest with candles and signs and such.
Then we can lynch 'em.
I'll bring the rope.
