It has been 2 full days and I haven't even gotten a peep back. I have submitted the petition online and then followed up as well as sent it in via email. I did get an answer back from a GM through the email one but it was of no help so I asked again
Long and short, I bought PLEX from a person who said he was done with the game. I actually got the idea from a FB post that EVE had about the largest payout they ever got in the game and someone said that a person was leaving and he got their character and all sorts of stuff. I paid this guy on PayPal and never thought anything of it. Now I know this is bad and is a EULA violation for which I am sorry. The GM took the ISK that I made from liquidating the PLEX and confiscated it as well as payments made to other characters I have. I am not upset with the response or the ISK forfeiture related to this as I can see having reread the EULA that this is a bad thing. Sorry, won't do it again, please no lectures, and this is not my issue but leads to it
The issue that I have is the GM also tagged ISK that I made from the sale of PLEX that I got from CCP late last month as stolen and confiscated it leaving my characters with huge negative wallet balances . The reply I got back was to make a character and then fund it and transfer the money over to restore my original character's wallet balance. So I resubmitted the support email because I feel that answer was not correct for the facts that surround this case
They also took a large amount ISK from a corp mate at the same time that had no involvement outside of we are docked in the same station. There is no reply to this and no resolution given outside of buy even more PLEX to restore your account balance to replace the ISK that we stole from you from the other time you bought PLEX from us
Does this seem strange to anyone else? I have the receipt, orderID from CCP, screen shots from the GM who took my money and I have submitted this over and over again because they stole a fair amount of real world dollar's worth of PLEX from me. And it seems no one has the decency to reply to this?
I have been playing for years now and have a couple accounts and have never had to send any sort of request/petition in. I am tempted to start dialing the home office or filing a chargeback with the credit card I used to purchase the PLEX with and let them investigate it. I don't want to escalate it but CCP has not even acknowledged my issue
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Am I just screwed? Have real world laws been violated? I am very thankful that my account wasn't suspended or terminated and am treating the warning seriously but didn't they over reach by taking assets that I rightly bought from them? Or are they allowed to issue punitive seizures when they deem it necessary to drive the point home (nothing I have read seems to point to this). We get screwed enough by the man in real life do we have to get screwed here too
Any help or advice on how to solicit an answer from the support people would be helpful. Thanks! |

Okay, I'm going to say this with as much patience as I can:
You broke the rules (and, as it stands, the law), and got caught. You had your illegal goods confiscated, and the profits from that illegal sale siezed. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse -- doubly so in this case, because you didn't check to see if what you were doing was legal in the first place.
Incacerated thieves aren't allowed to keep the thousand-dollar TV they stole.
Why do you feel that you're entitled to profit from illegal actions?

I am not upset about having the ISK taken from me that I obtained from selling the PLEX I bought out of game. I am upset about the ISK taken from me from the sale of PLEX that I bought from CCP.
I was unaware at the time of the transaction that what I was doing was in violation, I am a law abiding player and made a mistake. I was taken advantage of by another player and led to believe it was okay. I apologize and understand that what I did was wrong. The GM that took the ISK pointed out exactly what I had done wrong and I won't do it again.
I am not looking for sympathy I am only asking if anyone has had a similar problem with petitions being answered and what other recourse may exist. The point that a GM took legitimately earned ISK from me and a corp mate, not profits from illegally obtained items. I bought PLEX from CCP, sold it, and the ISK from that sale was taken from me.
Again, there is nothing else that I can say to apologize to the game for breaking the EULA, I accept the consequences and am moving on, but I am also wronged in the sense that a GM tagged ISK that I made last month from selling PLEX that I bought from CCP as stolen and took that as well. I am upset that there is no answer to my emails and I have to get someone's attention to the matter here.

Don't worry about it OP. You're better off not playing EVE anyway if you got scammed by some guy on facebook like that. You wouldn't last 10 minutes in Jita.
