Hey guys.
I have been the Fleet Commander for the Federation for the past few days and i thought i would put my comments into this topic.
At 1st it was horrible lag, and it just wasn't fun until someone gave us a patch to make the lag go away *btw, who ever did that patch... THANK YOU.* i gave a few orders in the capital channel for the Federation, and the guy who was going to be the FC had to leave and asked if i would like to take command, i said sure and we got ready for war.
I got my capital ships with some battleships and command ships and we set off to the Vey gate and the Bunker in Agoze and with great pilots and great listening skills i would call primary and that pilot would die shortly afterwards. Then i think it was on the Vey gate we got intel that a large Caldarian Fleet + Capitals are on it so i moved my fleet of 14 to the gate and we faught off a mothership *didnt kill it sadly* but we did get at least 6 Capital Ship kills at around 10 support. Went back to the bunker and we got, well you know
Next day i logged on, took command of the fleet and we retook Agoze from the enemy for a few hours killing at least 15 capital ships and untold amounts of support. Once again, great job on my men for listening to orders and following them without questioning my actions. Anyway, after calling 200+ pimaries and secondies we wanted to take Vey over from The State. We got a few fast ships in system and The State didnt do anything, but they did jump into Agoze and The Federation got beaten horribly. *thanks 2 lag, and for some reason the primaries would NOT die*
So ya, i would like to thank all my point pilots *without you we wouldnt have gotten as many kills as we did* I would also like to thank ALL the pilots who came into my fleet to stop the The State take over Agoze. And finaly, the Caldarian Pilots them self. **Even though half of them were other races lol**
Who ever was the Caldari Fleet Commander did not do a good job until that battle in Agoze on the Vey gate.

Great leadership skills on your side Commander, for the time in which I could join up with the fleet we really had the upper hand for hours. Sad to hear we got outnumbered at the end, but I'm sure you put up a good fight. For the Federation!!

In response to this,
CCP and people have things ass backwards if they think I'm going to be taking orders from an FC in Factional Warfare just like any other 0.0 engagement. I had expected FW to be mostly unorganized? I for one will be roaming and fighting in what fights interest me, and certainly not taking many orders.
I hope that will be viable in FW. Cause Im getting tired of telling FCs to get bent. ----------------------------------------- No, you aren't funny |

I'll be calling you primary
Mmmm, yes the battles will be MUCH smaller when it goes on the Live Server. So you really wont see the things you see right now on SiSi.
The one thing i like about this so far on the SiSi server is that you can throw in your BEST stuff and wont have to worry about losing it and not being able to replace it in a short amount of time. Sure, its not really fun when you kill the same guy over 7 times *coughs Pie*
anyway, it seems that The State has just gotten really orangized and are really kicking the stuffing out of any Federation ship not near a station.

Wtf, lots of capital ships? Did you only fight with caps or were there other ships as well? And no lag you say?
The last time I saw more than 20 cap ships, it turned into an epic powerpoint presentation within seconds.

Quite a few FCs *cough cough* have engaged in endless cap fights on SISI.
The main battle will be over and an enemy will appear in a phoenix with no support.
Only once or twice did an FC actually disengage and ignore it, realizing that it would take too long to bother killing it and the guy will just come back in a new phoenix and test a different fit.
Most FCs just yelled out primary on cap after cap ship, wasting everyones time.
Pie died 5-6 times in a row but he got to test 5-6 different tanks against a 20 man fleet... while that same 20-man fleet was busy NOT moving to the next system or battle, as they were too busy blowing up the same unescorted cap ships over and over again...
The OP included.

People group up and get coordinated because doing so gives an advantage, not because they're mysteriously required to...
It's your ship and you can do whatever you want with it, regardless of it being faction warfare or 0.0.
Just don't expect your targets to be running around all willy nilly.

Everyone has to learn somehow and you learn pretty quick when you're getting shot at.
So if all goes well we'll have a bunch more pew-pewers to have fun with before too long.

You don't have to - though in a fleet situation, you are not helping your faction by refusing to join a fleet. There's no reason why you can fly along side of a fleet or go where you want though - though you may not be the most coordinated and useful player in your milita.
As for running complexes, disrupting others, preying off lone militia targets/groups - you do not need a fleet environment for this type of work. You would thrive in this aspect of FW, and probably be the most useful to your faction here. ____________________

Yes because 0.0 alliance use their dreads to secure the new world order? Using a dread for fun is the only reason I can think of for using one.

You all can hate me for this but what I got out of the OP was FW is a cap ship fest.
Sounded like fun sure but frankly I thought FW was supposed to be a lure for hi sec hugging carebears to dip a toe into the PvP world and learn to love it.
Yeah, some mission sites will be restricted to various ship sizes but most of this will be at gates.
Can't say as I am eager to face cap ship gank fests at gates.
Hope I am wrong and that on Tranq it will play out differently.

Saturday evening's fight had so little lag at ~150 local that my logic circuits were screaming h4x.
Too bad one will have to live through c(r)ap ship camps in order to have a chance of a nice subcap fight in a plex but oh well ... |

I suppose on TQ people wont risk their cap ships so easily. Allthough i am afraid that CVA for example will use its cap fleet and easily take out the minmatars.

I was at the Agoze battles yesterday, previously been at the battles at Nisuwa (?) in Black Rise.
For those who are concerned about the cap ships ruining the day in FW, consider the fact that the region had seeded all ships for 100 isk. So replacements were essentially immediate, and people were willing to risk their big ships haphazardly. On TQ, I doubt we'll be seeing alot of Caps.
The Nisuwa battle I partook in was interesting, it was a much smaller scale affair with BC's and BS's vs 1 or 2 cap ships. You didn't die instantly if you were called primary, which was a boon.
I really hope CCP actually make FW isk sustainable otherwise I can't see myself making much use of it as it stands. I certainly cannot afford to lose ships at the rate I did yesterday.

You can always go back to the frigate or cruiser only areas. Then you barely spend isk.

How, without disbanding the Alliance?
To the op:
Why the hell are you capblobbing on sisi? Where is the sense of this?
Agoze and Amamake are not supposed to be like fd-. Get out of those systems and try to find bugs in the system, instead of sitting in one hub throwing disposable 100-isk-capitals at each other. There have been plenty of issues with the actual plexes that had been solved or need solving in the future, but you are not doing anything to help with that.
GTFO of of hubs, and try to find holes in the system. We all know that you can stationcamp the whole time in capitals on sisi, that's why you are not allowed to do it. We all know, that you can suicide a crapload of capitals in fd- or at invulnerable bunkers in systems without a single fw-plex. Nothing new here.
