Im getting a wierd error when trying to take a screenshot, using the 'print screen' button..
Anyone got a explaining or solution?

Make sure you are running in fullscreen mode and not window mode |

You can run in windowed mode and press Printscreen..
Then you can open up Window Paint and press Ctrl+V

screenshots are created as bmp's in capture\screenshots, no need to use paint. err.

Dude what are you talking about. I just tested it and yup.. No screenshot is generated anywhere in EVE when you press Printscreen in windowed mode.

i prefer the term gal but what the heck, something must be "wrong" on your end then, since i can generate screenshots fine, works the same in windowed mode as in fullscreen.

You can't run windowed in the same res you run windows, as all pixels in the eve window needs to be on screen. Windowed screenshots should work fine then (I run EVE @ 1024x768 and Win @ 1152x864 and got like 130MB JPEGs and 200MB unconverted BMPs).

I play w/ windows and EVE at the same resolution. I only lose about 8 pixels on the bottom of the screen. But that's probably what's going on.
I don't plan to change anything though.  |

That's weird. In all, at least I think so, occasions of "screenshot doesn't work in windowed mode" complaints the one who complained ran EVE and windows at the same res.

hmm, testing it by draging the window outside the screen..
hmm, yea, got an error now. its working fine as long the sides are both visible though..

Usually failed screenshots are when eve doesn't have enough video memory, dropping down your screen-res usually helps. Running in windowed mode it seems to need more video memory, I guess because it's got to keep the rest of windows displayed at the same time.
That's always fixed it for me and my associates anyways.

When running windowed mode, the resolution of the game must be smaller then the resolution of the desktop.
It works, I do it all the time.
Research with Duvolle Laboratories or you'll end up in the meat grinder!
