Ok, Im going to start by telling a story so you know where Im coming from.
My alt character is specialized in covert ops and logistics. I didnt figure she needed battleships and hacs since my main can do that. A few months ago she wan naughty in low sec and lost sec rating. Now, as she was unable to fight the .0 rats in my region she had to stay that way. Its fixed now but for nearly 6 months she couldnt enter 0.7+.
In the current game mechanics you get concordokken if you remote rep a blinky red. How about making the opposite true as well. Help someone who is killing rats and recieve a sec increase?

All you have to do is to shoot at the rat one time and let the attacker kill it. It shouldn't be too hard to use the helios' drone or a small gun on one of the other covert ops.

That doesn't sound right. As I recall, only one guy gets the sec bonus for the rat. It's either the guy who lands the final blow or the guy who deals the most damage. I'm guessing it's damage, since that's who gets ownership of the wreck.
If I'm wrong, by all means correct me.
And yeah, I agree that ratting parties should at least split the sec boost, so a low-tech gang can rat in 0.0 and be rewarded for cooperating, rather than punished, as is currently the case.

It is right. I am trying to get security status up.
Travel with buddy. We each hit battleship once. Kill battleship. Full security status gain for both.
