Battle to defend BWF began this weekend after Goons established 5+towers in system to dismantle SmashKill presence.
After 300+ in system all day long a battle occured on the ioo gate this evening. Many ships on both sides died from hostile fire and ccp lag. Both sides brought in reinforcements to hold the ioo gate however after two hours of battle SmashKill controlled the gate and goons ordered a temporary retreat. Good fights so far and not as much smack in local...

This fight started getting fun 30min into it. My claw got top dmg on a scorp with 23k dmg done....thanks fighters!

Since Thanatos is the type of the ship it should be taken into account as such.
Ship named TheFloatingPinata of class Thanatos was destroyed....
So in this case 6 ships of class Thanatos were destroyed along with 22 battleships.
No plural.

Yeah GS failed to be as boring as BoB. Instead of looking at GS failures lets look at some BoB failures. The BoB failures are far more hilarious.
Remember the NYT article in which Molie stated that BoBs objective was to take over all of 0.0, then low sec, and finally high sec. Ummm, how'd that work out for them?
Despite BoB failing significantly in their long term plan they did demonstrate one significant non-fail aspect. No matter how bad things got for them they had enough cohesion to not completely fall apart. Sure they suffered a lot of attrition but they survived.
BoB managed to out-boring GS but like most of eve the most annoying person will survive.
Give credit where credit is due instead of fail posting because GS took a dump in your wheaties/killed your raven.

In the second battle, there was no noticible lag on our side; it was a fun fight. My only regret is that smashkill can't hold up forever to continue giving us these kind of engagements.

Yeah, but iirc, proper nouns (like Thanatos) are indeclinable in the Greek lexicon. I could be wrong, though. But I'd stick with "Thanatos" for both singular and plural, like "Calvados".

You mean kinda like RK without the aid of Atlas and Smash wouldn't have had a shot in hell of contesting r-6? Or is it only the other side who has to look silly when multiple alliances are involved to ensure their success?
This has always confused me about a group that has a minimum of 3 alliances do everything together and more often has 5+.

Heh, we really could not fake killmails with ship fittings as hilarious as the ones we've seen from smashkill.
Unfortunately linking to a kb is against the rules here, but I'll tell you that if you go to the goon kb and search with player=BigRed...well, I won't ruin the surprise, but it's worth the effort.

Nice to see the Goons having a go at someone similarly sized. There aren't a lot of groups around that really match up well against a Goonormous fleet, but SMACK would qualify. Have fun!

Hey Shiftless, the entire point of my reply was to make sure Smashkill members not forget they do nothing on their own. They accused us of it, but always seem to forget they never move without their alliance mates either. Your ally stated that without the GOONs we would still be in R-6 losing it...I reminded your ally that without the other alliances in Smashkill he wouldn't have been in r-6 in the first place.
Unless there is some recent alliance or stations that Atlas has conquered by itself I would invoke the Glass Houses clause.
And my quoting ain't gonna change.

In case anyone hasn’t been paying attention for the last year… this is how all 0.0 alliance combat is now, no-one rolls alone, nap-fests, pacts, coalitions or whatever you want to call them are the minimum standard these days, in fact as much as I hate to mention BoB since they are pretty much the goodwins law of eveo… but they are pretty much the only alliance that has successfully fended off an attack by multiple foes alone (or near enough) or in other words: all of you quit your crying about blobs this or coalition that, no-one fights alone these days and all drone region alliances are no exception.
Quit cryin, more fightin.

Yep, there have been some comedy killmails recently - from both sides surprisingly. It was only this morning I was looking at the RK board and noticed a Goon tempest fit with heavy missiles, a shield and armour tank.

The reality of the situation is that if Solar/xDx/Goon hadn't pushed into 2G/R-6 and the Goons hadn't pushed in M-M you would have lost sov. because we blobbed the hell out of you and you couldn't cope.
It doesn't matter how many alliances came to the party, its war. You bring what you need to bring to ensure a victory. You brought in your friends to that end. Good job. Quit whining about RK and friends doing the same. It's almost as bad as your stat-whoring elsewhere.

I have just reread my post and im sorry, but I cant seem to find the part where I say its ok for smashkill to blob but not IRC?
Let me double check.. 'Goons saved R-6', well that bits true.. 'IRC are now more ballsy since Goons invaded geminate and smash arnt raiding D-IZ', well that bits true..
