Im gonna give this a try. I think that the ''Transfer Fee'' simply should be changed to isk. I know this is one of eve's resources, but with the eve store, and gtc sale they should earn quite a bit.
I think this will prevent account scamming, since everyone with isk will be able to do the transfer. I just think that its alot for me, im from europe, to pay 20Ç each transfer i make.
I love doing deals with other people, and im good at selling/buying characters. Though the only bugger is, that it is tapping money out of my bank. I know theres a 99.9% chance this wont be changed, but still its worth a try.
My Suggestion is simple:
1. Make a feature in account settings for paying isk instead of real money.

I don't think that Character Transfer should be that easy and common, and especially when it no longer requires real money, we'd see character farmers.
20 Euros is too expensive in my opinion, though.

Here's my idea. Reduce the price to the same price as one month of game time. This way, people can use GTCs to sell characters, supporting the GTC system and giving options to the people looking to sell a character.
The best thing is that this system will work whether they bring in the revised GTC amounts or not. Both will have 30 days, and that's exactly what you'd use for this system.
Just my .02 ISK

Bunyip that is actually a awesome idea.
And i do agree actually, there will be to many isk farmers. But still i think they should lower the price to like 10 euros each transaction, that is fair for everyone.

Of course, it'd require them not deleting 30-day GTCs(since I don't think you want the price to double), but assuming they keep them that'd be a really good idea - CCP still gets paid cash, but players have the option to sell characters for isk only.

This issue will be rejected because of one simple reason.
JUST IMAGINE somebody obtaining your password somehow.
Doesn't matter how, really : anything from brute force attacks, keyloggers, your stupidity, whatever.
Now... imagine THEY can simply use ISK to make a character transfer.
No creditcard/paper trail, no nothing.
By forcing you to use a credit card (or whatever other accepted payment method exists), it also significantly decreases the chance of a catastrophic breach into your account. Sure, they can still recycle your character, but they can't make a profit out of it.
It's a policy issue.
Now, you can argue cost as much as you like, but then again, that's kind of out of the scope of the CSM.

The devs have made this clear in the ToS: If you give your password away, they aren't responsible. There are other threads for improving the security of your account, so it could be implemented that way as well.
Either way, the paper trail is evident, as all ISK can be traced back to it's source, and it takes a bit of work to get a GTC. GTCs also require the person to log into the account settings on the Eve website to conduct the transaction, so there is quite a paper trail evident.

I didnt say they HAVE to change it to isk, just that they should lover the price..
