Ok...
Take your hand which uses the mouse...
Now
Turn your hand so you can see your palm...
Look at the bottom left..,
Do you have a red "slightly" painfull bump?
If so ... your a nerd.

Of course I don't. I have a full blown callus, hard enough that it doesn't hurt, smooth enough for easy movement. - Originally by: Kyrall Pfft antivirus? Real men use a hard drive tank.

The bottom left?
So how does that work for those who use our mice left-handed? ---- Infiniband can do more than just prevent lag |

You could try ... you know ... not prodding it with a pencil. That may help. - Originally by: Kyrall Pfft antivirus? Real men use a hard drive tank.

My bum hurts after gaming/internetting/nerding for more than a few hours continuously.
I find the solution to these kinds of problems to be quite radical. I think it's called 'outside'.

Turn your mouse sensitivity up!
I can move mine from one end of my 1680x1050 widescreen to the other by only moving my wrist. No need to drag my hand across the desk to get a callus in the first place! __________________________________________________________

I started to get one but it was too annoying and gross so I'm now wearing a sweatband on my wrist whenever I play. Ofc I could learn to hold the mouse properly but that's too much work

What he said ! I hardly ever have to move anything but my wrist. And I do spend huge amounts of time at the PC moving the mouse... but not even the slightest tint of reddening or hardening anywhere on the "mouse hand".

Pah crank that sensitivity low as it can go! I move my mouse 19" to move across the 19" of monitor. That + UT2k4= some decent cardio.
