King Hopy, I don't think you "get" goons if you think we want you to pack up and leave without a fight. The vast majority of goons actually enjoy the pew pew (minus the lag), and if you didn't bring it, it would be rather boring. This campaign is fun, and that is the reason we are doing it.
I dunno, I am probably preaching to deaf ears; it is just a game, and while it may get "serious" during a fight - as it does in any game - it is all for the fun.
I can respect this to the point where you spend the whole night using the "DD in the enemy POS with the password" thing over and over.
That's basically about 300 people spending hours and hours waiting for one douchebag to enjoy himself for about 5 minutes. I don't understand how anyone finds that fun, even if the Titan in question is in your own fleet.
Maybe it's all about the fofofo, who knows.
I'm not trying to be a ****, I was just hoping for some fun fights, and so far it's just been CCP lag nightmares and the occasional Titan bull****.
It's something we learned from BoB, you sit there alt tabbed listening to teamspeak (watching tv, whatever) until you have superiority and then you warp in and wreck the enemy. It works pretty well because you guys are hilariously terrible.

Very true, you are currently assulting Fix space atm? Your rationality for your alliance's actions have always confused me. You claim to uphold our pos nap agreament while you directly supported the hostiles breaking the nap. You also destroyed several smashkill towers in what is now your space. Now you are trying to tell me you dont count as aggressors in geminite? Your actions in the drone region stall reinforcements and divert man power and resource to our current defence there. To say that you are not involved with that is ludacris. Please stop you spin and get back to on topic discusion.
Your posting as of late has been giving IRC a bad rep.

Except that we aren't in Geminate.
either is fix, veritas, etc
goons/tcf in geminate have about 7k dudes in geminate, smash/kill/atlas/fang have about 6000, so including defenders advantage thats about 'even'. its drone regions were the numbers are a bit unbalanced, lets say 2000 for fix/veritas/whoever vs about 4800 on your side.

You're kidding right? Smashkill attacked a blue to put FIX in there in the first place. We simply retaliated and supported the attempt to remove them. Then Smashkill went directly after ED space removing any agreements if it could be said there were any left by that time anyway.
FIX was never part of any formal or informal agreement between us.

Farham why must you spin things. You and I and everyone else knows the truth. Several occasions in our defence of Chaos Incarnent space, you fleets engaged ours on our jump bridge and at hostile pos's we were seiging. Just because you didnt actualy siege one of those pos's doesnt mean you didnt DIRECTLY assist the agressors. You flew cover for solars fleets as they attacked our pos's and engaged our reinforcements as they tried to make their way into system.
Also please if you are gonna argue my points, make sure you come prepared to back up your statements. Currently you look like a fool arguing that you were not the one that broke the window, you were the boy who handed the thrower the rock.

You're coming back doesn't change the fact that we did not touch Chaos poses, period.
Did we go into opportunist mode and attack some Smashkill fleets where we knew they would be? Uhmm, yea...not sure why that would be an issue.
This is all nitpicky BS anyway, it is what it is now.

Also for the record, the pos nap going void in the region was due to Solars and legions agressions on Chaos/Atlas space. If you want to argue who drew first blood, it was your side. Please stop trying to deny it. If you wished to uphold the nap, you would not have assisted them in their actions. There is no way to dispute this statement. I'm sorry Farham but you are wrong.

It just doesn't sound like much fun to me. Sure, it's a valid tactic, I'm not getting into a "lame tactics," "should be an exploit" thing here, I'm just saying that it must be boring as hell.

By "listening to teamspeak" we mean keep it open and watch TV, read a book, **********, listen to music or any other sorts of activities. It' not as boring as you'd think.

I have to agree with my corpmate here but the current situation of pos warfare and the use of titans to DD inside shields is an arguement rehashed in many many threads. The majority of the community has voiced their opinions on it and hopefully the developers will make changes.
I will testify to the fact that i watch more youtube videos than the eve screen during fleet fights. In fact i dont think i have fired a shot yet which is very disapointing.

Yep. The POS nap with IRC/ED died when 9iz was attacked and IRC/ED flew meatshield.
The R-6 fights were in retaliation for the attacks on 9iz and on bq0/3-jg.

The lack of defense was mostly drama with Chaos falling apart. We shoulda stuck around and fought over ngm etc.
Personally I think Frege setup a pair of worthless stations. It would be worth taking them back if the station owner had some sort of self destruct option to scuttle the station.

oh now farham, your lookin a bit catty. We both know the reasons why we didnt go back for 9-iz. I do not want to come on here and speak on chaos's behalf because i was not involved in their internal matters and i dont know if they want to share that stuff with the eve community. Quoting because dastommy is speaking the truth! IRC spin is getting pretty bad atm. On at least two occasions an IRC fleet help to defend SOLAR pos that where in reinforced in 9-IZ - Chaos Incarnates home system. This was on top off the intel and recon work that IRC cov-ops pilots did in 9-IZ for SOLAR. The only way you could have assisted the aggressors more was by seiging a pos. Tbh I dont know if FIX was part of any formal agreement or not. Even so, you knew FIX was blue to us and you knew us well to know that we would come to the aid of our allies if they needed it. Was Carpe (if thats the right name sry - blonde moment) part of the pos nap agreement? I didnt think they where, if anyone knows otherwise though Im sure you'll set me straight.

Here's an interesting little piece of fact for those lurkers who like reading this sort stuff (i.e. not the people who post replies to actually say they don't care...).
The problem with 9iz and Chaos was that they were part of a piece of very over-extended territory from the rest of the allies. Anyone who can read an influence map could see that. The main issue wasn't territory though - it was in fact a combination of poor infrastructure (no bridge network to B-7) and a single system: 9-Z. That annoying system was the single choke point that acted as a cut off for both 9IZ and NGM from B-7 and MJ-.
Of course there were other factors too, but territory location is key.
And just to clarify to my good chum Farham, it was indeed Red Alliance who broke the POS treaty (Solar Dragons in particular which broke off from RA halfway through their campaign to join XDeath and then several days later, Solar Fleet). |
