So I went out yesterday to catch the sales and bought 2 new monitors. Everything runs fine, HD movies, TV, games, except for EVE.
If I run HDR, the bright lights actually turn into rainbow colors when the screen moves. If the screen is still (not spinning in circles or in warp) the colors are normal. Otherwise, the bright light turns into as what I can best describe, the degauss mode on old CRT's.
Any ideas?

This is the first I've heard of anything like this. Have you made sure your drivers are up to date? Also check the settings on the monitor and see if adjusting the color a bit manually helps or not. ____________________________ I break things.

Drivers are 100% current. I'm seriously thinking it's somthing about the HDR and HD delay.
I was camping a gate lastnight, and every time the gate would activate, it looked like a mini degauss mode went off in the bright white light. I turned off HDR and I havn't seen the rainbow effect. Unfortunately I don't have a digital or analog cable with digital converters at the end to test out how that would work.
I tried to test it out with Call of Duty 4, and Counter strike with the high bloom effects and HDR on, but never ran accross it. I even loaded up Age of Conan again and didn't see it there either.
Is there somthing special with how bright things become with HDR?

Did this happen before you bought the new monitors?
Also, exactly which monitors did you get? (make/model) Sometimes monitors will have specific drivers above and beyond what is embedded into windows, check to see if they've got any and install them if they do. ____________________________ I break things.

I've got the Gateway HD2200. It didn't happen with my older monitor. I launched EVE on my older monitor, and the degauss look went away. Supposedly there is an option somewhere to turn off the delay so when I get home I'm going to look into it. There were additional drivers that came with the monitor so those got installed, but it didn't resolve the issue.

Turns out it is the delay. After turning the ultra response off, everything went back to normal.
