Edited by: Pa1nbringr on 05/05/2004 16:19:11 heh a rupture would kill you before one kestrel could ever blow one up, all it has to do is launch 2 cruise missiles or 4 heavys ----------------------

my breacher with one MWD goes 2150+ m/s
Yes it can, the kestrel however is a slow beast that has trouble getting over 1600m/s with one MWD + one AB.
Kestrels are better tacklers tho, with the 3 medslots

How to kill a Rupture witha Kestrel: 4 Launchers with cruise Missiles (you guessed that hehe) Med slots: 2 Sensor dampeners. Low slots cap power relays.
The only thing that could happen is him using FOF cruise missiles. If he does you better run. :)

It works really well i promise You just have to keep your distance and he will probably just warp out,but hey you made cruiser warp out If he uses FOF though...You're the one who need to warp out Tatsue..

2 holes are the reason i wouldnt use this setup...
FoF's as you said and them warping out since there is nothing stopping them. There is nothing i hate worse then have someone almost dead warp out.
If you could run 1 20k disruptor and 2 sensor damps you still have the speed advantage to keep him out of range so if he has no FoFs or mwd hes screwed, right?
Worth trying i say ________________________________________________________

My indy-popping kessie setup:
highs: 4x standard missile launcher medium: 1mn MWD, stasis web, warp scrambler (the 7.5k variant) lows: 2x nanofibers OR 2x cap relays
Another variation of this setup is to use A3 rocket launchers, and use rockets. You'll still beat the **** out of an indy b4 it can do anything, only difference is its ****in hilarious to watch it get showered with a thousand rockets also its a lot less expensive than cruise missiles.

4x standard launchers 2x MWD 1x 20km warp disruptor 1x micro auxillary power core 1x cap relay
use 1 MWD till the cruise missiles are close to you, then burst in the direction of a warp point. By the time the missiles catch up to you, he should be dead, and you should be warping.
Pain is an object of relativity. |

A rupture in PvP without at least one MWD is asking for gankange. I wouldn't expect to see many of those around.
I dont have too much experience in Kestrels but an MWD sounds kind of mandatory to me unless you use your long range and will try to sit the cruise missile flight time out there. Having even one enemy frigate in the area will screw that tactic over nicely tho.
In one kestrel I probably wouldnt take on a rupture and expect to kill it. _______________________________________________

kestrel, 1 MWD, 1 dampner, 1 20km scrambler; hi slots: 3 standard, 1 assault launchers...use the assault for defenders, and the 3 standards for cruises, may need to put defenders in one of the standards if he has good or more than 2 launchers. get fairly close to stop him turreting you, may be worthwhile to swap the 20km for a 7.5km scrambler.

A Breacher is just a better choice than a Kes. Unless you want to use a Kes in a little different way.
4x Standard Launcher 3x Sensor Damps 2x Cap Relay
And then just sit 60km out. If you have a friend in a fast ship to scramble the guy and then MWD back to your location that would be a good team.

Dude... your tagline "Almost" only works in horseshoes/handgrenades...?
It's killing me man... the phrase is "Close" or "Almost" only works in....
Sorry had to get it off my chest

It's "Close". I changed it. I like my way better because it's funny because it's so stupid. It's a joke. You know? Jokes?
