Seem to have absolutely no improvement in the game, i t infact seems less stable than before. Is there any specific reason for this? ---------------

well my guess would be your end, since the server upgrade has made a difference for me.

well for a start the alt tab bug is still there were by if u alt+tab out of eve when ur docked it crashes eve yet when your in space and do the same its fine
secondly is the general annoyance of it seems the servers needed to be rebooted at 22:00 gametime everynight
This is just generally all annoying me. ---------------

This is completely client side, nothing to do with the servers.

REally? I've been playing this time for a large number of days (not all, by all means) since the upgrade, and not noticed a server restart. I'm not saying they haven't, but not every night. Not even the majority of nights... |

Never had a problem, running an ATi 9600 & ATi 9700 (depends which system I play on). I run 2 accounts and swap between them all the time without crashing at all.
Unschedualed downtimes.
So your PC has never crashed, acted up, stopped responding for a few seconds.....? and do you leave it on 23h a day 7 days a week?
My Personal home server crashes about once per month & that runs an uptodate version of Server 2k3 and that is all.
They do happen but they are not frequent (appart from 11-12 GMT).
BTW I can only remeber of 3 outages in the last 2 months that have been unschedualed

No problems here m8. Not only is the loading faster but I don't CTD hardly ever. Most of the CTDs are usually caused by sound driver problems believe it or not. Anyways... no system based on microsoft or linux can deliver an uptime of an AS/400 and since eve isn't on an AS/400, nor linux to that matter, don't expect 23 hours of uptime all the time.
Unless you are in the know on how servers running a persisten world like eve is supposed to be done... I wouldn't get my panties in an uproar. -----
