Today the 29th of May 2008 the Nomads are celebrating our 5th anniversary.
Some of our core players have been in space since the very beginning of Beta.
Nomads started out as explores and miners. We found friendship among fellow players who initially populated the Curse regions. In response to pirate threats Nomads was among the first corps to join the very first alliance in the game. Though many alliances followed, Curse Alliance will in our minds stand as the father (or mother) of all alliances.
Since those days the Nomads have crossed many people, made many friends and flown along side of many good players.
All Nomads have a saying:ö Once a Nomad, always a Nomad.ö, and how true this sentence is. Members have taken breaks from the game from time to time, but Nomads have always greeted welcome back when players eventually return.
Many players have put up countless hours to make our corp function. Weather it means getting up in the middle of the night to check on production, login in on the job to fuel a POS or camping a system for hours and hours to claim territory. I want to thank all of you proud members for making our corp what it is today. So many deserves a thank you. So many that it would be impossible for me to name all of you here.
However I will mention the father and founder of Nomads, and give many thanks to Qobra for his initialization of Nomads in EVE and for his continuous engagement with the Nomads in other games.
Also take a moment to remember and honour our most active director, Wertex, who so tragically passed away due to sudden illness 28. april 2007. Wertex was 31 years old and left behind a girlfriend and his then 1 year old son.
Nomads have never reached a huge member mass. We have always been a very tight group of players. Like a family. Though not big in size Nomads have left an impression wherever we have gone, and we have always felt highly respected by our friends and foes.
Thanks to you all. We are looking forward to having fun in the fantastic universe of EVE the next 5 years.
Long live the Nomads, Hurray, Hurray, Huraaaaaaaaaaay.

Congratz to all of us... Lets hope it will be 5 years with as much fun as it has been already :)
Thanx to our great CEO for a nice short resume on Nomads history.
It has been a blast so far and only getting better every day :)
