You know, Esrow is kinda lame. There are all sorts of problems with it IMO and one of them has to do with placing ISK value on named objects and player created BPC's that have no inherent value of their own. This leads to inflated prices and, frankly, it's just not really useful. Not to mention the random "APOC 100MIL" and it's really a shuttle with some pyrite.
Instead, I would like to see an auction system, like ebay. A player want's to sell his/her named object, they can set a reserve and put it up. Folks can bid ISK for that item. This not only creates an environment where the market sets the price, it also adds a little bit of that bidding/gambling type excitement.
Simply, I think an auction would be a cooler way to sell stuff that has no market price than is already in the game currently.

i like the idea - but personally i think a better system would just be another market place - where u could search for items in the same way -
eg a partial hull expanded cargo hold comes under hull upgrades etc - then u could see what other ppl were selling for and it would probably encourage more selling of these items.
You could even split it into 2 sections with an auction option or straight sale option.

i hate bidding. When I want something, I want it right away. I wouldn't mind a bid option if there remain and instant buy option.
better organization is definitely needed.

I believe that is rather close to what is planned for the next big patch. If I am not mistaken it was in one of the last CSM chat logs..
Should be able to read up on that either by going to www.evegate.net or www.eve-i.com
Rather curious myself about this new escrow system.. can hardly wait to see what great new idea they cooked up in there..
