ROFL :)
5 multi specs, shield booster, sensor booster em hardener or warp scrambler.
get a backup array or two, and some cap relays.
you target several battleships, and then jam them 1 at the time, 1 cycle at the time. they need another 10-15 sec to acquire lock, and get very ****ed :)

Hey Katia...
Check out this thread... it's really helpful when it comes to fitting scorpion!

Edited by: Judicator on 06/05/2004 10:13:51 Or you could use 4 multispec + 1 race specific. Often a caldari race specific is chosen because then a grav ii backup wont help the scorp, -22, and all other races at -18. IIRC all battleships aside from the scorp has a strenght of 14, so even with a tech 2 backup they will be jammed aswell.
Ofc there will always be cases where someone i packing enough ECCM to not be jammed.
Edit:
Quick ideas.
High:
2x425mm 4x Siege Launcher
Medium: 1x X-Large 1x EM Hardner 5x Multispec or 1x Caldari(other race) specfic + 4 multispecs 1x Sensor Booster
Low:
4 cap relays 1 Signal enahcner + cap relays, or warp stabs, or backup arrays. Low slot is very much up to what I think I'll encounter the most.
Another could be:
High 2x Neutron Blaster 4x Siege launcher
Medium: 1x X-Large 1x EM Hardner 2x Sensor Booster 2x Webber 2x Scrambler/jammer
Low: Signal Enhancers/Warp Stabs/Damage mods. Depends on what you feel like really.
Could swithc then EM hardner for another webber or jammer/scrambler. That setup is for catching stuff at gates, I suggest having a buddy for firepower. Your setup is ok damage wise but against another BS extra firerpower helps.

i'll give you one thing to think about, a cycle jammer that can be jammed is like flying a semi expensive tin can.

If you know the type of ship you'll be up against, use Race-Specific Jammers rather than multi's. They are less cap heavy. You will also want a webber and Warp scrambler to stop them going anywhere.
Hope this helps.
Make a difference

2 Tech 2 grav backups and you are relaativly safe. Aside, thsi is suggetions, it all depends on what you want t do. In fleet battels waitnf for the race specific to cool down is crap, so 5 multi is called for. There are no "fit this and win"
Oh yea, use 2 grav backups and you can still be dampened, happens alot. Last big battle I was in I ended up beeing dampned to hell and back and there was nothing I coudl do about it aside from warp out, warp back in, be dampned, rinse and repeat.
So even tough you are "unjammable" you are not invinceble. -------------------------

Drop the MWD. Fit an EM hardner. At the very least you want en EM hardner. -------------------------

Katya, at least USE the last med slot. Don't ever leave an empty slot in your setup. Or did you forget something, cuz you only listed 7 med slot modules...?

just a quick question. i'm sitting here trying to fit my own scorp. if i used 3multispectrals would i be able to jam a bs (that being one without anny eccm)

do the multis have a range limit, my old 1400's with lead should be able to hit at between 60km - 165km or emp between 15km and 80km, thats theoretical maximum range. And i have a mwd too :)
All that is truely urs, is whats in ur head. |

Three is only enough for cruisers, Bships have a base sensor strenght of 13-16.
Dominix has 13, Scorpion 16, all others have 14 IIRC.

Once you jam someone above their sensor strength how long does it take them to loose the locks they have ?

Noooooo!!!
5 multis is the DUMBEST IDEA EVER.
It will suck cap like theres no tomorrow.
load 1 of each special and 2 multis, you use 1 more slot, but never run out of cap.

for a pop jammer:
High: 2 x 425's or 1400's 2 x siege launchers 2 x H-50's
Mids: 6 x Multi-specs 1 x Hvy cap injector 1 x XL Shield Booster
Lows: 2 x Tech 2 Grav Backups 1 x Tech 2 Signal Amp 1 x Warp Core Stab
The idea is to target all of the enemy BSs and then cycle through them jamming them as you go. A perfect combo is having a Raven with you with 3 Dampeners and the Raven puts 1 dampener on 3 different targets. As you break lock with the target jam, the enemy has twice as long to target. Learned that trick fighting RUS. Director, Divine Retribution

Edited by: Queen B on 18/05/2004 07:57:59 another viable setup, using dampeners instead of target jamming.
High slot 2x 425 4x Siege Launchers
Med slot 1x XL Shield booster 1x Sensor Booster 1x EM Hardener 1x Thermal Hardener 4x Remote Sensor Dampener
Low Slot 2x Warp Core stabs 2x Gravimatric Backups (pref. Tech2)
Dampeners are not as effective against smaller targets, which can come in close range fast and also have alot faster locking time. This setup is for BS vs. BS combat.
For extrem range combat (80km+), change siege launchers for another pair of 425, and load up with range ammo - not so damage dealing but safe

Depends what you are doing, you can't spot jam with race specifics.
Also isn't it the case that if your sensor strength gets to 0, it will only jam any further locks, if you are already locked or on the lock timer they will be ok. Since you are unlikely to jam someone before they are already on the lock countdown to a few ships it might not be of much use.
So 4 Multi's and a Grav jammer probably wouldn't jam a Tempest/Megathron/Apoc with a tech 2 backup array with a great deal of success.
Or am I wrong? Plz don't shoot me I don't fly a scorp

i used to use dampeners the one thing you have to remember about them though is the cycle time on them. very hard to switch target in the battle. because of this i use jammers you can cycle through a group of enemys and really screw up their battle STAN
