Gallente Frigate Skill Bonus: 5% bonus to Small Hybrid Turret damage and 10% bonus to Scout Drone Thermal damage per level
So, with a cloaking device and a probe launcher equipped, i guess it's not much of a bonus for the small hybrid turret. And + 10% heat damage for one small drone? 
 Why not change at least that drone bonus to something like remote sensor dampening as it's a gallente domain? This may get at least a little usefull

geez we should all quit whining. after all it's going to get a 100% bonus to looking like crap.
all the cov ops get a damage bonus, and i don't think anybody knows why. it's just there. like nipples on dudes.

Apparently male nipples lactate in some rare circumstances when a mother is absent... (theres more to it, but 'apparently' its true).

well, maybe you won't if that 10% heat damage drone bonus would be changed to a 10% sensor damp bonus for a Hobgoblin SD-300  Would be nice to have something like a full flights strengh of them on cov ops lvl5

Just curious, but if the helios is changing to the imicus hull, will the drone bay also reflect the change? At least that would make it more useful with the drone bonus....kinda.

Would be nice, but I'm not too optimistic.
The Maulus has a 10m3 drone bay, but the Helios only has 5m3...so right now it doesn't stay the same between the T1 and T2 ships, which means there's no reason to expect the new Helios to mimic the Imicus' drone bay size. Of course I won't be upset if I'm wrong. Really, though, in what situation would another light drone or two make a difference?
What I really wish for is that the cargo bay is made larger in the new Helios. Right now, IIRC, the Helios is the only covert ops in which the cargo bay is less than the T1 frig off of which it is based. I believe the other three covert ops ships have the same size cargo bays as the T1 hulls. Having the Imicus' 320m3 would be excellent, but any increase over the current size would be very welcome.

2-5-3 is a great layout. If you want 3-4-3, train Amarr or Minmatar Frigate. If you want 3-5-2, train Caldari Frigate. It doesn't take very long at all! Please, leave a 2-5-3 for those of us who think that's optimal! |

The Helios with that single hobgoblin II deals the same DPS as all the other coverts. They all deal around 30dps with max skills and more like 20-25 with more sane skills. The weapon bonus that all the coverts get is pretty much useless since pods don't fight back very well.

to be honest, I was thinking the added drone bay size (I mean, it is a gallente ship after all) would allow for more support drones and the cov op could be a lot more beneficial in a fleet situation. I love my helios, either way, its the oldest ship I own :)
