What am I suppose to do if I don't have the cops (Concord) to back me up? I mean they had to call DED to help defend their area.
If they are calling in reenforcements what will that do for the rest of hi-sec? Has all heck finally broke loose? Who is going to protect the carebears?
I guess if I can't depend on CONCORD the donut lovin out of shape smell like bacon people I need to go to the dark side to be protected.

Devs said FW is opt in, so chances are Concord just wont be present in black rise region. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

As far as I understood, black rise will be just like any other lowsec region, ie no concord.

Exactly, it's nothing special about it except that it's new.
Black Rise actually has one constellation of 9 systems which are high sec, the rest is low sec though.

Why be worried, CONCORD has the resources to warp 75635583567 ships right next to you if something illegal happens...
Linkage
Why shouldnt they eb able to spawn 4863585689576985639459675 ships to kill a few dreadnoughts while spawning 746587456373534573 next to you if someone does something mean to you?

This wasn't suppose to be just about "pvp" but it was a side effect. As for "Black Rise" and low sec and FW...those too were also not what this thread was suppose to be about.
I was looking at the fact that if the cops can't protect themselves without help, oh what should we do...just having some fun with one of the news stories.
I was hoping that there would have been some good funny feedback. I needed a laugh here at work.

Edited by: Mioelnir on 30/05/2008 20:23:57 The Concord Assembly is the faction and its member corp Concord is the police squad while DED is a member corp that is the 'army wing'.
Considering it did look like an invasion fleet and their sovereignity claim was at risk, DED as the army is storywise actually the right force that engages.
All the police forces are busy at the drive-in donut stores in Uedama and Maurassi anyway.
[Edit] And as for game mechanic reasons Concord Corporation nowadays has to have godlike equipment, DED provides a more interesting opposing force as they are good NPCs, but beatable ones. Pirate faction missions fight DED regularly, so they aren't established as gods.
You can't sell any force beating Concord corp without wildly going astray from ingame truths.
