Uhm.. I kinda wish I could see it, but it's at 5am PST time. Anywhoo, I know the servers are based in the UK, but why not make the visit last a little longer than 1 hour?
Why not have 4 Jove envoies go to the 4 governments? Give the most chance for people to see them?
I am of course making an assumption that the Jove ship will travel to the 4 sectors for only an hour. Which is a bummer.

Anyway, they stated it will be tomorrow at 12 gmt, not today
But then again, that prevents most of us that work from seeing it, as we're gonna be at work or asleep at those times.

And Omber Zomb, that's right. The only good thing about the timiing is that you aussies for once get the chance to be involved. I recommend you got there and take a look. Let us know wether it was fun cause im gonna be at work :(

Anyone consider the fact the CCP holds the servers down until lets say 12:10 ... then starts them up, you can patch it, en there is your new technology ... no event whatsoever .. ;)

Im from the uk and still think the timing is tactical/stupid, most people are at work at that time, or school. Either is stupid timing, or its set at that time so that the number of people who can attend etc will be limited, to avoid killing the server

No, won't kill the servers. According to the sages EVE can support support fifty, sixty, one hundred thousand simultaneous players. Theoretically of course. If they are spread evenly through the universe. With no drones. And npc pirates stay home. And no one is fighting, mining, jumping or warping. Just sitting there in space. Preferably in station. With no buying, selling or checking stats and hangers.

It has to approach a station or whatever doesn't it? IF it docks it has to undock again, it's going to pator and ammar as well prolly, so it will have to approach jumpgates as well. I bet Zombie could do it...
(and btw, stop opening up threads about it, this is the one. Maybe Orestes will sticky it for a few hours? ) |

I would LOVE to see it support 15,000, and still be able to give people a enjoyable, playable experience. The amount of downtime since the last patch is stupid, and must of it was due to the server becoming unplayable with 4000 players on it.

methinking this lil jove ship when its not stealthed or otherwise will be running dual MWD on thier huge cap pulling mabe 15-20km/sec continously , anit no way in hell u gonna be able to keep up

Would make it kinda pointless, the whole deal of the event is that u actually see a jovian ship, not a red trail for 2 seconds. So, no that prolly won't be it. |

Tell ya what would be a nice twist though
300 players all assembled to destory the jovian emissary. they fire and destroy the ship
and rejoice momentarily, until the Jovain armarda worm holes in , area jams and scrambles all shpis in the area and the proceedes to methodically tear each ship apart but not before utilising mind transmittion scramblers to destroy months of traning on any player who mind is transmitted after being podkilled by the jove fleet regaurdless of clone quality.
