Aelius	Posted - 2004.05.06 10:17:00 - [1] Today, EVE's aniversary we will be visited by a Jove emissary. Rather than killing him "to get the bp" we could escort his ship and make him feel at home. Its like killing the gold egg goose to get only one gold egg. It's a shame players can't defend the Jove emissary because of Concord lack of AI (Concord is stupid as a rock). Selling Raven BPC ME20 3M at Yulai 1st Station

Which in a way is roleplaying and showing a little more imagination than the muppets who just blindly follow whatever is plastered in the news. However since jump drives aren't in game (according to latest eve-db) and since the new mode of transport is mentioned then the Jove has a pretty much free hand to use gm type commands to teleport around. So anyone hoping for l33t jump drive bp or item drop is very likely going to be dissapointed. My own personal opinion is that I hope someone does shoot him down, at least then the massive disruption/server crashes will be kept to within a shorter time period as possible. Sadly however I have rl matters today though :(( BTW how do u intend to escort the jove in what will probably be 1.0 space when the only attackers are likely suicide frigates anyway? If a corp of enough likeminded and skilled players were to band together they could rp very successfully from which ever angle they wanted. Like any other profession in eve, to be good at rp your gonna need a lot of skill at EVE in general. Also like a lot of other professions in eve, there are very few players with the skills to RP well. Your comments about shield tanked scorpions are laughable btw and the comment you carry in your quitline makes me respect you even less :( Thx for reading! Shooting Dev controlled stuff is always fun til they command kill you So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

Cept in EVE they are often flavored with sci fi elements, and once in a while the player actually references something to do with EVE. I VERY RARELY see real in character interaction between players... and when I do, it's all too often the stereotypical "DIE AMAR SLAVER SCUM!" Oh well least it's something... Anyway I'm not knockin role play at all... thats my prefered way of EVEing... But the glory of EVE is it's very easy to remain in character without having to do much at all... Since we're talking about a futuristic world, all the things we currently enjoy in real life can easily have a EVE counterpart. Instead of TV, pretend the guy said Holovid... and so on. As to the jove guy, If I log back on after DT, I'm gonna just try and sneak a peek at him and see if I can get a screenie of the ship, maybe even hail him and try and role play with him... Remember people, Jove like information about culture and other odd things they have since lost...
