Dont know about missions, but in 0.0 you should watch out for about everything. Dont think the rewards are any better, but you get a truckload of dangers 4 sure. Not much sense if you ask me, since you can do missions in hi-sec too. .:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:. \o/ EVERYBODY SAY HELL YEAH! \o/ |

They work just like normal missions with regard to getting agents, running the missions, increasing standing etc.
The enemies are sometimes the same (other pirates, mercs etc) and sometimes against empire or concord.
You'll lose empire standings fast if you run these missions - do enough and you'll drop below -5 and empire faction navy will attack you - which can be annoying.
You can get implants (talisman from bloods for example) and faction ships and ammo. I've not seen mods but only ever ran missions for one pirate faction so maybe others are different.
The rewards (isk rewards) are higher than low sec agents and much higher than high sec - maybe double the normal payment compared to a high sec agent. You also get a lot of empire faction tags which you can sell in empire for more than their normal value.
So the lp store stuff isn't bad, the rewards are pretty good.
On the downside - you'll end up being attacked by faction navy in half of empire.
What to watch out for - As it's 0.0, unless you are in an alliance that has decent control of that space - you will be taking a much higher risk than in low sec or empire and are likely to die a fair bit :) |

Edited by: Leandro Salazar on 01/06/2008 08:46:46 I missioned a bit for Serpentis (arguably the best faction to mission for due to Snake implants) and my experience was this:
Pros: - You get roughly twice as much reward/LP as from empire factions - You get about 2-3 times the LP value of the common empire LP items. - Most missions put me against other pirate factions, CONCORD or Gallente, no other empire factions. - You can run missions and when the opportunity presents itself jump into a 0.0 pvp gang at the drop of a hat.
Cons: - Finishing the L4s took quite a bit longer due to cheap equipment as opposed to pimp ride in empire. - The constant looking over our back is annoying - The agent being based in a 'kickout-station' is not very nice. - AFK-cloakers can really spoil your day - Really need a carrier to efficiently get your spoils to empire for sale - If you have a nice niche LP item in empire, a lot of the extra earnings from 0.0 missions vanish.
So basically if you enjoy the dangers of 0.0 and have good logistics, you can make more isk than in empire. If you feel safe enough to use a pimped ship, it is actually a whole lot more. Personally, I am too paranoid to use an even slightly pimped ship in 0.0 missions, and I don't like being threatened with PvP while I PvE, so 0.0 missioning is not really my cup of tea. The only real advantage (and main reason I even bothered) was that it gave me something to do between 0.0 PvP actions. But I phased out the missioning in favor of ratting for that too as I DID have a slightly pimped ratting ship that was hauling in nice ISK in a lot more relaxed gameplay.
