looking for a dirt cheap ship to support my aliances bs gangs against other bs's. a thrasher or coercer seem like good choices. any other suggestions?
thrasher:
7 200mm ac with emp, 1 nos
web, 2 support mods (ecm, remote sensor booster, remote eccm?)
2 gyros

Arty thrasher to take out ceptors would help them
Gank thorax would offer real dps
Best bet other than those 2 is a blackbird unfortunately.
Keeping it all cheap that is.

Aye, Gankrax with Hammerheads will get you some nice supplementary DPS. 3+MFS (preferably II's as they're still cheapish) and as many 250 blasters as you can fit. I think it's pretty uncontested.

Vexor with 2-2-1 dronebay, med blasters and mfsII in lows == sex, full t2 setup can get you up to 700dps (with close to perfect skills) tho you will be tank-less.

t1 geddon, only parts need to be t2 are the 3x heat sinks, mega pulse a bunch of plates and your good to go, 60 mil or so and you'll get most back from insurance.

yes, an AC thrasher with mwd to get in range, will put out pretty good dps, but die quick too.
or you could do arti thrasher with 280s and mwd to keep moving and popping drones/ interceptors ect.
For cruisers, I would say 1600 plated rupture with a couple damage mods, tackle, and 220 autos. Or thorax if you prefere and can fly, although you cant 1600 plate with med guns on the thorax  , so rupture ftw imo because of the higher survivability and better range.

mostly T1 fit mega or domi should do the trick...use geddon if you are amarr...phoon if mattar...raven if caldari...

The guy with the vexor idea hit the nail on the head, doesn't come cheaper and less-survivable, but dps is tremendous. Gank-Geddon would last longer, but cost much more (obv.). A properly fit Harbinger can sick out some crazy DPS if that's your flavour.
For a pure mintar choice, go with the rupture, plain and simple. AC's with hail and some missile launchers, 3 gyro's and 3 BCS's. I wouldn't personally fly it like that, but if its a purely DPS argument, then that should be decent enough.
Back in the day it used to be hilarious to fit 8 nos to a thrasher and cap out a bs. Me and a friend used to run around in 1 of these each. Might *still* work.

If you turn on the shield booster it should almost constantly suck cap, about 25 c/s. I have no idea why im sharing this, other than its awesome fun against BS with no web fitted. Not for a serious op! :)
