Just wondering if accounts that have been cancelled for a long time have their characters deleted, and if they do does the corp they are part of get all their assets the same way they would if the character is deleted by the account owner?

I have a couple of people on my roster that have their accounts suspended, so the character is still around. The only way I can see a company getting that character's stuff is if the account is deleted. The guys I have said they might come back, so I'll keep then around until they do or their character disappears.

They appear to just sleep forever as far as I can tell.
*Mrissa casts another sleeper adrift from her corp*
On the off hand chance that they ever come back, CCP more or less seems to let the character idle indefinitely so they don't necessarily have to start at square one again.

Asked the same question myself today; apparently cancelled accounts, and their characters, remain on the database for 6 months after the last bill payment date.

If a character is deleted, the contents of his/her wallet is given to the corp as inheritance. Not sure if this applies to characters deleted after 6 months (or indeed if in reality they are automatically deleted.)

i suspended my account for over 6 mos and just recently came back. Had everything I left with.
I'm so unlucky that if I was to fall into a barrel of nipples I'd come out sucking my thumb. |

Well most of the accounts were cancelled more than 6 months ago, but when the guys left (they more or less said they were never coming back) they didnt give the stuff they had to the corp, between 3 accounts there is about 2 billion in minerals and ore in just one station.

CCP will never give you their assets without the owner autorization. They are costumers that can come back and your word isn't good enough.
Imagine if they decide to reactivate their accounts and find everything missing? Would you like that someone did the same to you?

I dont think CCP deletes characters after x couple of months, only players can do this.

I never said that I wanted CCP to gift all their assets to me, I was simply enquiring whether if CCP do delete the characters after a period of time and what would happen to the items the characters had if they did, since when you delete a character all their stuff is given to the corp I was wondering if the same thing applied if the accounts were cleared off the database.

You'd be surprised, SOE (Starwars Galaxies) delete characters after 6 months of the account being inactive.
CCP can at any time decide to do the same thing if they wished.
