How about this small but hardcore useful funktion?
You flag yourself AFK and your Corp can see a small "afk" next to their pictures in the Corp-Chat.
Shouldn't be too hard to implement, but has huge functionality.
There are alwys the situations where you write in Corpchat: "John, are you there?" Because People are alot AFK in this game idleing or doing some Semi-AFK stuff.
What do you think?

I quite like this idea.
Having a family life, means I get called away quite often.

good idea perhaps an automatic change if no mouse of chat changes detected for 10 minutes just in corp chat only or a user implied flag

This is kind of essential yet we still don't have it?

This is a simple-to-implement yet really useful idea. Most other games have this sort of thing.

AFK flag for everywhere... This would solve afk cloakers without killing cloaks.
People could still sit at their computer and move the mouse every once in a while, but it would be a step in the right direction.

Yea, allot of people been asking for a general AFK button, so it will be visible to all corpies and the people in local alike. Of course - could be used as means to screw with the war-targets...
Still I support AFK button.

Best you can do is set afk in TS, but realistically CCP won't touch this.

I would love to fly around shooting people with a ship visibly marked as AFK.
If implemented, I'd hope you would have the following options:
Inactivity AFK (Toggle)(with customizable timer)
Auto AFK if EVE not in focus (Toggle)
Remove AFK on activity (Toggle)
Manual AFK Trigger
Options for where we want our AFKness to be visable
AFK Away Message
Player has been AFK for X display (Toggle)
