Its only fair to have these penalties implimented. Frigates are now a viable ship again. If you hate traveling long distances...so what, you can still equip your MWD to travel, just know that you now have a defensive disadvantage. Your just complaining because you no longer have: a decisive advantage over frigates, the ability to easily annihilate pirate groups, and boy does it suck if your a pirate. In my opinion this will make battles and military ops way more fun. I also had my awesome pirate warp drive nerfed and i will continue to use it, i guess we all just need to be more careful.
Peace JB

I don't care about a Decisive advantage over frigates, I care about warping 2 freaking hour's to the outer systems where it's marginally fun to kill pirates.
There are no station even close to out there, nearest one is around 30 jumps away.
So when you finally get out of the NOOBIE systems, and into real space, you will probably complain too. So just keep your opinions to yourself until you've played more than 5% of the game. kthnxbye.
OH and on top of that, Yah i think my 12million dollar Cruiser should probably be just a weeeee bit better than your Piece of Crap frigate that cost at most 250k.
You do the math I don't know yah I think it comes out to where I'm right.

Your 12 million dollar cruiser IS more than a weeeee bit better than a frigate. It's not as fast or maneuverable (well, it still can be, but with a sacrifice) but it's better in pretty much every other way. In fact, even if you equip a MWD you'll still have more shields than a frigate. That you did not realize this makes you an idiot.
You also continue to whine and whine and whine in every thread you can find about the long trips out to tough NPC pirates, even though this patch also contains ammo changes that allow you to stay and kill MUCH longer without having to return to a station for ammo. This patch saves projectile/hybrid-using pirate hunters a lot of time. But you ignore this, Qball, because you are addicted to mindless *****ing.

...and the fact that he bought his cruiser with dollars rather than isk shows just how stupid he really is! __________________

For 12 Million Dollars, I suspect the developers might be willing to let you fit a microwarpdrive with no negative shield or capacitance effects.
One of the things I love about EVE is that you can't have a ship with everything; you have to make choices:
The myriad of different components which can be installed on ships make for a great test of balancing on the part of indivudual players and results in a more varied (and for me at least more enjoyable) playing experience.
ANY piece of equipment which becomes de facto standard on a ship is almost by definition overpowered and due for a nerf of some description; similarly equipment seldom used is due for a reverse nerfing ~ f'nar f'nar - of some kind; anyone out there using a Vampiric Energy McSucker yet? Thought not.
