Quote: When your tutorial agent sends you to your first real "storyline" agent (Ranta Tarumo if you went with the recommended Caldari > Achura > Inventor > Military > Special Forces character), stick with this second agent for all of his missions (10 in all--called "Cash Flow for Capsuleers"). As a reward for one of the early missions, you'll receive a free Condor frigate, and in one of the later missions you'll receive a free Kestrel (both assuming you're Caldari). Other races should get similar upgrades in their racial frigate line.
Now maybe they were bugged, but the two agents I was "given" stopped giving me missions and when I asked my corp about it, they explained I needed now to go out on my own, showed me how to search for npc corps, Caldari Navy in my case and away I went.
But I was just reading a locked thread in which the above was posted and while I got the free Condor, I never saw any sign of a Kestrel.
edit: worked it out. :) I deleted the two agents out of my address book since they were no use, is there any way to get back to the training missions?
edit: worked it out. :)

No idea if they will give quests or not.

Edited by: Nevore on 02/06/2008 22:39:45 Nah my guildies helped me with it. So many menus, it's like being in a maze but they directed me to my character sheet and then how to find past employers.
edit: Guildies? "ú$%... Erm, Corpies? Corps...?

It's worth doing the storylines for the other careers (Industry, Business, and Military each have a 10-part mission) more for the free skillbooks and experience than for the free ships, which aren't really worth much. The three series are different and you might learn something.

The one I'm on seems to be all courier missions and I just got a mining one.
Haven't seen any skillbooks so far and the only ship has been the Condor. I'll be sticking with the storyline anyway wherever it goes.

I completed all 12 tutorial arc missions when I started this character. I found this information in a friendly character's bio and set off on my "All Empires Tour".
"If you're new, run the three beginner arcs listed below in order of value, and you'll collect a set of +1 implants, ships, and skillbooks. Run the 2 missions for the Tutorial agent first, then the 10-mission arc from the Event agent in the same station. You can run the arcs for all four races.
Amarr: Business: Conoban Military: Deepari Industry: Pasha
Caldari: Business: Jouvulen Military: Uitra Industry: Todaki
Gallente: Business: Trossere Military: Couster Industry: Clellinon
Minmatar: Business: Embod Military: Hadaugago Industry: Malukker"

Those story arc are pretty important if you need to change faction after missioning for one of them.
the last missions in the 2 episode story arc where you kill a saboteur and then deliver a new cipher book to a station 1 jump away and the 10 episodes arc are both important storylines and give you a standing boost in the faction involved.
Each kind of mission can be done only once for each agent, but the 2 episodes arc can be done with multiple starting agents (1 in each school station in 1.0 or 0.9 system) and the agents can be accessed even with slightly negative standing. So if you need to recover faction standing they are a good way to get a rapid increase so that you can access a wider group of agent for missions. Running several of them (unless you are in the deep negative) will put above the unmodified 0.5 standing required for Faction Warfare in some hour and allow the use of connection instead of diplomacy for the standard agents .

Ok, so, in a related question, it looks like I screwed up a storyline agent. I didn't accept the mission in time (I honestly thought I had plenty of time left) and now they won't give me any more missions. I guess that storyline is now gone to me? Is there any way to pick up another storyline mission arc?
Thanks,
Kirala

Ok, so, am I to take this to mean that if the Haduagago agent is no longer talking to me becuase I didn't answer his phone call quckly enough, then I (as a Minmatar) am unable to pick up that storyline again? There is no other agent I can visit to get it? Bummer. (FYI: its' the storyline with a pirate named Steon, I think it must be the ten episode one, not the two episode one, hence this question...)
Thanks,

If you redo the very beginning tutorial the tutorial lady should hand you off to that 10 part mission agent again. Is it f12 in game to restart the tutorial? Or you can go into options and reset the tutorial. You'll have to redo all of the missions though.

The Business Tutorial 10-missions give you the Salvage skill book (saves you 900k isk), which all new players could do with.... ---
