Dampen the crow and make him come close ,and equip a webifier,if the guy isnt smart enough he will come too close ,webify him,end of story.Blast him with all you got.
Dead crow
Its not that easy, but it can be,just depends whos flying the little crow.

BB vs Interceptors:
You really shouldn't, not a Interceptor killing ship... but you should put on 1-2 (preferrably 2) webifiers and one 20 km scrambler. Then fire some cruise missiles from your launchers and have some 2x250mm railguns with antimatter ammo (maybe exchange them for blasters).
NPC hunting:
The blackbird isn't really a good npc hunter, but I'd fit the following: 2x250mm railguns 1x150mm dual railhun 1xStandard launcher with defenders (or a small smartbomb II) 1xShield booster II 1xShield booster amplifier 3xTactical shields (wards) (EM/EM/Thermal if you're fighting amarr npc's, thermal/thermal/kinetic if your fighting caldari or gallente npc's) 1xMedium shield extender 2xCapicitor Power Relay
You can drop the Cap relays and put in reactor controls and change the 150mm dual for a 250mm, but I don't recommend it.. better safe than sorry :)
BB vs other cruisers:
Find out what type you're fighting, fit 3 jammers of his race, 3 launchers, skip the gun if you need power/cpu, 1x webifier and 1x 20 km scrambler and one MWD.

Keep in mind that if a crow dive bombs you three times you're dead in a BB. You don't have a lot of room to screw up, you have to double web him the first time.

BB vs. Other Crusiers
High Slots 2x standard launchers with Crusie missles 1x Heavy launcher with your choice of Torpedos (in case they have sheild boosters) Mid slots 2x Caldari jammers 1x Gallente jammer 1x sensor dampner 2x warp scramblers Low Slots 2x Signal Amplifier
This will allow you to deal with with most crusiers and frigates. Also think about putting a 250mm railgun on, with Uranium ammo, that will keep you at long range and out of a Blasteraxs' range and keep them from locking you. The Caldari jammers are to shut down other BBs' and Carcals. If you are going to be facing a Rupture or Maller switch out the Gallente jammer and Sensor dampner, then put in a Minmatar jammer and Amarr jammer. This allows you to deal with most of the crusiers that you will face in PvP combat.
Please stop being a third rate flamer,I am tired of reactivating my account just to kick your ass. |

I see sensor damps and scramblers as offsetting mods.

Hi, I have had my BB for 4-5 days, I know that it specilices on, hybrid turrets, but I have put up mine with 2 rocketlaunchers, and 1 heavy beam laser and 1 medium laser, dont remember the name (I am at work so I cant check it) but in 1 shot it fires 4 fast shots.
Yesterday I went throuh 4-5 systems with 0.6 -> 0.4 systems and engaged some rats, most of them I picked off at ranges up to 20km with only my lasers, so even that it is a "hybrid turret" cruiser I think it works gr8 with my lasers.

The best setup for me is to have 4 jammers for every race in your cargohold. Depending on your target fit 4 jammers for their race, one tech 2 shield booster and a webber (interceptor) or warp scrambler (cruiser/battleship). 2 standard launchers with defenders and 1 heavy with cruise, 1 x 250 railgun using antimatter. Cap recharge in ur low slots. If there not using FOF cruise switch ur defenders for cruise and boom boom

Ok... this is probably me being dumb and i've done it from memory, so sorry for any mistakes on stats
I think the race specific jammers were -6, the multispec -4 and the Burst -8 but only at less than 500km
So, my rupure for example has a sig strenth of 11 I believe. Does that mean it would require 2 x race specific or 3 x multispec to drop my lock off?
Also if they say only used 1 race specific and it wasn't enough to drop my lock, would it effect me at all (Locking time etc..)
Sorry if that all seem rubbish, but I've yet to play with EW.
Many Thanks

Edited by: Arkanis on 10/05/2004 16:07:14 If you have a friend for dealing damage (blasterax, etc) try this out.
As many launchers as you can if you can fit heavy's use torps or cruise. The single turret throw a 720mm on it (No cap). Or a smartbomb to take out those nasty fof missiles.
One each racial specific. One multispec Warp disruptor (20km)
Just depends whether or not you like not having a shield booster. Can always drop the warp dis for booster if someone else can do it.
Using the four racials should put you on 12 (6, 2, 2, 2) jamming which can take down a cruiser. Use the multi if they have an eccm.
For the lows use signal amps or whatever you fancy.
Then sit back and watch the light show as your missiles and your friends blasters hit.
You are relying on your friend a lot as they're doing the primary damage. Use torps to take out drones and a smartbomb for fof.
