Every journey begins with small steps...............
THE YOUNG AMARRIAN
But for the faithful of God's Empire the journey is one of neverending enlightenment. For even as a young Amarrian a warrior for righteousness does all he can to defend our glorious Empire. Learning to mine, fight and work together for the glory of Amarr.
"The Young Amarrian" chronicles the first few days of a young Amarrians life as he ventures forth into the stars. Praise our God and all that is right. For protected by our faith we Amarrians, the chosen of God, will prevail into eternity.

This is my first video. It was created with FRAPS and VirtualDub and assembled in Windows Movie Maker. The soundtrack is the theme from the movie Jurrasic Park. I was motivated to do this after watching the incredible m0o video The Ties that Bind. I plan on doing several more and hopefully my ability will improve with practice.
To download you right click the video link above and SAVE TARGET AS or you can just view it by left clicking (windows should bring up a default viewer for you).

Take out the amar part throw in a caldari and change the freedom fighters to enimies of oc and that video was just like my early days  .

I am pleased people are enjoying the tale of a Young Amarrian. For the journey to enlightenment takes many forms. In the constant battle against the unholy rebellion we Amarrians must all stand together against the darkness.
As for Maggot your mate may have been impressed but I am sure you recognized yourself in the video as one of the faces of evil? It shocks me that a Minmatar would even view this holy video!

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Fraps software can be found at FRAPS . There is a sample downloadable version of the software there but it watermarks the movie and has a 15 second per record limit. The full version is around $30.
After recording alot of footage with FRAPS I edited it down using VirtualDub which is a freeware software. You can download VirtualDub at VIRTUALDUB. I was able to cut alot of excess out and edit each avi movie to obtain the parts I wanted.
The wording (on the black background) was made with SWISH which is available at SWISH. Swish lets you save/export as an AVI file. There is a free demo version available for download there (I think its a 15 day limit).
After this I used the Windows Movie Maker that comes standard with Windows XP. It automatically compresses the video. Using the storyboard I was able to add a soundtrack and place each individual AVI segment (both from FRAPS and SWISH)where I wanted it.
Overall the worst part is trying to get good film. Angles and such are tough when your also trying to fire missiles at someone. I probably used 5% of all the footage I shot (some was really bad). If you shoot enough though you can get some decent stuff.

Really nice vid. truly great feeling to it, very rich atmosphere.
its just the PIE promo at the end thats not so nice, as i dont necessarily agree on their methods. caldari and gallente ships have their uses.

PIE is my life for the service to the Emperor is all I need to justify my existence. As for ship quality we all know Amarrian ships are far superior to anything in the galaxy. As a loyal Amarrian I am obligated to use only the most advanced superior technology available. This technology is of course Amarrian.

The video was made for PIE internally just for fun. I didn't have plans to release it to eve-online.com but I was encouraged to by my mates at PIE. I may release a version without the promo at the end but adding a "credits" screen with my name and corp as author.
After playing EVE since early beta and taking a bit of time off I've enjoyed EVE to no end being a part of PIE Corporation. They have perhaps the richest role-playing reputation in the game and are made up of truly honorable and friendly gamers. Any video I produce will at least mention this corp I have grown to love.

Sure no problems there mate.
Its just that there is a possible technological advantage of the jove. Ive even been branded a heretic by some amarr even just for saying that, and yes prove is there, they destroyed our forces quite easily just a little while ago. Not everything we use is totally superior, yes our navy is the biggest to be found anywhere, but some of the navys ships have seen better days..................

Are the Amarr brethren of Imperial Dreams and Dark Seraph who at times use Caldari technology, not as loyal as PIE then?

Of all people I would expect you to know better! How many times have we not fought alongside each other as equals, for the Glory of Amarr?
The PIE policy of 'Amarr only' is a matter of pride for our pilots, and part of our corporate legacy and tribute to the Empire. In many ways we adhere to the traditional military philosophy of the Empire, and for us that works wonders.
That does not mean, however, that we frown upon those who serve the Empire with equal fervor and passion whilst piloting Caldari or Gallente vessels. To a certain extent we recongnise their tactical value, but for us this is a non issue.
You take the words of an eager PIE recruit out of context and twist them. These were words of pride and dedication, not meant in the manner you so wrongly try to make it out to be.
You should know better than to bring our Respect for our brethren in arms within the CVA into dispute, or even ask this question.
It is a non issue, end of discussion.

Brother Gauis has explained it well. In my youthful enthusiasm I may have not made myself clear. As a loyal pilot of PIE I of course follow our policy of Amarrian only ships.
In no way do I disparage our Amarrian brothers from Imperial Dreams or Dark Seraph who use both Amarrian, Caldari and Gallante warships. For your dedication to the cause and loyalty to Amarr has NEVER been in question! I salute you and the rest of the defenders of Amarr.
I look forward to completing my combat training and joining all you brave Amarrian warriors on the field of righteousness.

Terrorism is always connected to perspective. Being reasonably neutral in the matter at hand, let me say that both sides of the conflict employ tactics that would appear to the opposing force as acts of pure vileness and cruelty.
How can one go about reconciling this conflict, after so much blood has been spilled on both sides?

The end of this war is quite simple.
One race defeats the other and subjugates it, totally erazing any problematic elements within the other.
Of course our race has less problems with such a tactic, as we have used the "any and all means" for quite a longer time now.
The Minmatar would have to use tactics that are opposed to their own morale, and this would probably end in a vicious duoble-morale, of fighting for freedom, yet wiping out another race with their actions...........they would become partially like us.
As such, we can only win in the end, either by carrying on forever as we are, or by passing our legacy on to our enemy, turning him tino something akin to us.
