I have been playing for awhile now, and have just started using guns over missiles regularly now. I have a problem though with the reloading and switching ammo option. As of right now, I have to go through my full rack, 7-8 slots, right clicking on each gun and pressing the ammo I want to use next. Well, it takes a little long for my liking so I would like to propose a full rack reload or something of the sort. Make your guns clickable by group and have an option to reload the selected guns or the whole rack at the same time. Any thoughts?

Seconded, although hammering f1 to f8 (depending on gun number) is quite quick.

CTRL + R
but switching ammo in the whole rack if thats what you mean, that would be useful ------------------------------------------------ When you get to the end of your journey, everything that really matters is the journey itself. |

Agreed, I'd very happily kill and pod for a full-rack 'switch to this ammo' option.
The only question I'd ask is what should happen with guns already firing. At the moment for you to switch ammo, you have to have stopped the module, then go to switch ammo, then fire again.
In all cases, a switch all option would have to stop all gun modules. One issue is what happens afterwards - should it start firing again automatically, or do you mash F1-F8 again? I'd lean towards the latter - I can just see CONCORDing if I have two targets, one friendly to remote-boost, one hostile to kill, I switch all, and then a few seconds later I get CONCORDed because my guns have just switched due to the target being destroyed and then opened fire on a friendly. ___ "If you can't debate using logic & fact, and at least recognise other people's point of view, don't waste time posting on forums. Ya, it would have to have the button mash again. It's really only meant to be a quicker option to reload so we don't get carpal tunnel from pilots just moving around

As a person with carpal tunnel I thoroughly agree and am quite happy to throw health and safety behind this new feature ___ "If you can't debate using logic & fact, and at least recognise other people's point of view, don't waste time posting on forums. Edited by: Renata Uldseth on 05/06/2008 10:00:00 It would be nice to have something that would allow ammo change to happen quicker. Otherwise, I just usually use whatever is currently loaded, and that's not always the best choice.

Now someone from CCP just needs to comment if they feel like it

There where others threads asking for that, my answer?

ps.: A grouping modules function would be cool too, like grouping guns in one, missiles in other, tank modules in other, etc... -- AF should be like HACs

Being worked on by the UI team, via weapon grouping options.
