What do you feel like?
Choosing a side in FW is only REALLY important to roleplayers. Anyone else will gain exactly the same, regardless of what side they pick...

If you want a target-rich environment, pick Gallente.

Gallente if you want unliminated Killmail fodder. Caldari you can expect to be pretty large, however you can bet they will love blobbing.
Basically the Caldari would be look the Goons of FW, the Gallente would be the BoB of FW :P

Ask yourself:
Do I ever plan to visit Jita again with this character? (I say plan and not want because only masochists enjoy going there).
Then act accordingly.

Well i like both Amarr and Caldari 'civilisation'
But i'm wondering if the fight minmatar/amarr will not turn with all minmatar side ship fitted with Thermal and EM hardener...
and Caldari/Gallente with all gallente ship fitted with smartbomb to **** up the missiles engaging long range to avoid killing they're proper drones
Il would say would be better to join caldari to be one of the uncommon guy not using missiles but lasers, but with LP store will have access to Caldari stuff i dont use
or going amarr and will be using like almost everybody, lasers but having access to amarr lp store with stuff which will interest me more
i have (much more) than 0.5 standing with both caldari and amarr

Does anyone really want to go to Jita in the first place? :)
But honestly, the other trade hubs have been catching up as of late. Good stuff. Enough to live on at least.

No my dear Zothike, I don't think there is any danger that'll come to pass. My (wild) guess is that pretty much everyone worth his salt will be nano'd up to the brim as per usual.

Strategically - Amarr look to be the unluckiest with access to enemy space, and also looking at the test server - have the lowest sign up numbers :(
If you like the idea of supporting the underdogs, or a challenge - go for Amarr :)

I would guess that cause the Caldary are Amarr biatches you will be able to swap between them with no problems.

What it boils down to is..
1)What empire do you have high enough standings with?
2)Can you make an alt to transport goods from major hubs that would otherwise be restricted. FW effects only the character in the militia, not the entire account(all 3 character slots).
3)Do you know anyone in certain areas that will also be in FW? If so who are they thinking of joining? "invite"+discuss.
What not to choose an empire based off of
1)Your character's birth empire.I'm Caldari but likely joining the Amarr militia.
2) what ships you fly.Your going to see Caldari ships fighting for the Gallante militia or caldari ships for ammar. your ship/weapon preference means nothing.
3)possible rewards,If they added some new mods you can buy from the LP store,you wont be missing out if your unable to use it. Get it, sell it,profit. Then buy the FW mod you can use from a player like yourself, thats what the market is for.
Of course if your a mission runner be sure that you will still be able to make isk while participating in FW. Meaning don't join Caldari if you use Gallante agents. I'm not sure but you take a hit to the standing with the opposing empire, not all 3 empires you didn't join with,right? Be sure to check, you dont want to put yourself in a position where you need to start the process all over again for no reason (meaning you dont care what militia your joining just as long as you join one).
Did i mention the Amarr ranks look the best?:D That some of the reasons above have led me to look into joining the Ammar militia even though I'm Caldari,fly Caldari and storyline wise..prefer Caldari. I don't buy into the idea that everyone is going to go Caldari because they started out as a Caldari character but if there is an ounce of truth to that, I would think Ammar will have a balanced population at best. I prefer a fair fight or one where im at a slight disadvantage instead of having a huge advantage. hollow victories suck beyond belief.
