Edited by: Sinner Man on 05/06/2008 18:13:18 Keep hearing rumors that BOB are helping -A- in their current war against IAC ? Does anybody have any info on this ? Seems unlikely to me but then again stranger things have happened in Eve.Would certainly give BOB easy access to RaGoon space while they are busy elsewhere

Kinda reminds of of when people were saying Triumvirate were BoB pets because we also were also hostile to "the north" at the same time BoB was.
People really believed it.
Because, you know, we were 3 or 4 regions away from BoB. They owned Deklein, secretly. Or something. I don't think the idea stood up to much scrutiny in the end. --

Edited by: Sunshine Katy on 05/06/2008 18:41:27 It's more like Bob and AAA are carving up IAC between them. AAA is taking 5-N and V2. Bob pets Tercios are taking FAT and 25S. IAC is holed up in the JZV constellation/F4/ZXIC area (sound familiar?).
Bob and AAA do not seem to be helping each other; the question is whether there is some tacit agreement to split up IAC territory. After all, it would be easier for AAA to get capitals to 25s/FAT than Bob, so why is AAA kicking back and letting Tercios take the best systems in Catch?
IAC has not put up any substantial resistance as it has lost (or is about to lose) 4 station systems. What's that about?
Can we get some official/semi-official/quasi-official/ "my brother's friend's cousin's barber heard that...'' explanation of what's going on? |

There is nothing going on.
There's three parties involved, all hostile to the other. IAC just happens to be in the "middle". Once IAC is destroyed and AAA and BoB are next to eachother, they'll be fighting just as much as they are against IAC. --

No, not really. AAA and BoB are both fighting IAC, but they are still hostile to one another. BoB isn't making any obvious claims or attacks against AAA because they're dealing with IAC at the moment. The same is for AAA. Do not think for a moment, that they'd hesitate to fire on eachother, though, if they ran into eachother.
There'll be no "open" fighting between them until IAC is down, but I am willing to bet everything I own in Eve, that it's not something they've agreed upon or even spoken about. BoB doesn't need AAA and AAA doesn't need BoB. They work and act differently. A the moment, the only reason there silly rumours are being spoken is because they both happen to be attacking the same entity at the same time.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend" is a phrase that's put to misuse, often. From a tactical perspective, it makes sense to carry this through, if you're weak and need to team up against a common adversary - just as most of EvE did against BoB a while back.
Neither AAA nor BoB are weak and neither need the other to eliminate IAC.
There is no NAP, there is no "unspoken" NAP, there's nothing.
Just targets on the overview. --

indeed, plenty of reds these days. 5-n/v2 -A- took from with a warning "stop blowing up our moon mining towers [on the moons we took from you after setting you red] or we'll take another station!" Don't worry, it hasn't stopped us. At that point defending 25s/fat was going to be too annoying without a jump bridge network, not to mention only 3-4 iac guys have been living out of there. So, Tercios moved in and have been good target practice. -A- also drop good loot, so please keep coming to f4r2 . Moving back to the jzv area hasn't been as hard as originally expected by some as we cut out over 500 members that were dead weight or the Chinese isk farmers tyrrax recruited. Sunsets also helped take care of some of those guys, so thank you Sunsets (-a- guy). We also killed him at one point too so it's all good.
Out of all the groups we've been fighting, I tip my hat to 0utbreak - no smack, no politics, plenty of fun to shoot at, willing to chat and enjoy eve for what it is (a game) and always bring it .

I speak for myself, and no one else. Especially not IAC.
But that's not quite true. -A- and BOB tend to leave each others moon mining POS's alone most of the time. Two weeks after the fall of 9CG, -A-'s small tower was still there, still full shield and nothing incap'd.
Do I think they're actively working together? Unlikely, but anything is possible in a game of social engineering.

Apple Boy is in Wyverns, a Corp developed and setup by TT. ITT TT likely still has influence inside IAC. I heard Apple Boy changed the password on a POS, right before a battle, to one which -A- knew; and therefore the IAC fleet got DD'd inside their own POS. ... Signature ...

What iskfarmers were those ? From Brotherhood of Steel ? I kicked all the ones I knew about out before I handed over CEO of Wyverns, the iskfarmers in there were the only ones that had permission to be in IAC
also, topic of thread is dumb since it suggests opposite of first posts's content
Oh and nobody cares about apple boy except some people in goonswarm, and they're still blue to IAC last I looked, it is pretty funny that they put him in charge of gunners and POSes and I'm sure his incompetence is a factor in how poorly IAC's been doing since they kicked me out

There was no single corporation within IAC that was attempting to undermine vilelust. Infact vile created hatred within IAC towards himself with his own policies and attacks on multiple players. He would become very upset if anything was mentioned about missing isk and loot from ops. (he possibly stole loot and tax from IAC but it has not yet been proven) Vile failed to earn the respect of many within IAC because his wins were empty simply because he rode on the backs of goonswarm and MC as BoB was retreating.
His fail of long term thought has been shown in his attempt to run his own alliance (oddyssey) that didn't even last a full 6 months before folding. His lack of charisma and patiences also made him a horrible leader. I must say he is very good at one thing and that is "being a snake".
Obviously sir Aaaaarrrrggghhhhh you have no idea on the connections of old IAC corporations and their leadership. Not to mention Isayo never wanted the job thats why vile could have easily taken the reins. Isayo has alot of respect within Genco and Minc and this kind of rubbish will do nothing to soil their relationship.
TT was always in someways a suspect and never fully trusted. He did have one thing that made him an quite interesting figure. balls. Its unfortunate that he did what he did but IAC needed a change anyway.

Im an old grunt from Genco. (before empyrean) Ive allways been a grunt due to my irl workload. (afk alot)
But even I know this:
Genco loves Isayo! How could we not? Hes a a pillar! We had a difference of opinion on some logistics but never anything wich you speak of. (heavy crucial corps within an alliance usually do mind you)
Genco loved Vile...? This can be argued... But in the end he was a great FC and while he lost IACs respect due to his alternate agendas and finally turning coattail and becoming our enemy, Ill still remember his OPs with fondness! (Hes no Hachou though, that russian just rocks my world)
As for Tyrrax: Hes a scorpion, he does what he does. I like him but Id never give him a ride across the river. Genco never did.
On the whole AAA>IaC<BoB thingy: I dont care to speculate on NAPs etc. Everytime I do get to log in theres an OP fighting some of the Best EVE has to offer...
I love it!

We have had some awsome fights with -A- over the last few months. Im not very keen on the 200v200 blobs with all the lag and such but the 50v50 fights rock.
As for BOB. Same goes for them. They have been bringing the random roaming gang around and the fights are usually pretty fun.
Outbreak, Doom, and the other reds that are lurking about have also been giving us some great fights. I have a lot of respect for the Outbreak crew as they are still class act PVPers.
Anyway this thread delivers.
Thundirr out.

btw, why not? AAA is a good in pvp, serios opponent and its right next to their space.
they dont have to travel for hours to get a fight. i think its gonna be the next target for them. i bet molle & co will come up with a "sikrit" masterplan after the BBQ in june ;)

Originally by: Aaaaarrrrggghhhhh IAC allowed TT and Genco to undermine Isayo and Vile and now they will pay the price.
Admittedly I don't think Genco expected TT to do the dirty.
Once TT left, the GHSC between him and Evil Thug meant open season between AAA and IAC.
Genco had nothing to do with it. Every time they started crap it was quickly put back under the table. Mostly it was two idiots in Genco who time after time got shown how stupid they were. I got on fine with the others. While most didnt LIKE me, I think the more active of them knew what I was up to.
As for their love of Isayo - Isayo was one of the ones always claiming to DISLIKE Genco. And on the topic of my/ODD leaving - not only did Genco have nothing to do with it, TT really didnt either. Believe it or not, but both myself and humble get along with him just fine. Hes hardly the first in IAC to have taken something. I took pvp loot, maybe..... 300 mil worth :p oh my.. so much! Most of that was given back to Thundirr. I also handed loot out, unlike anyone else, after most of the ops. Nor did I overly enforce collections of it, either. But back to the topic...
We left mostly because of Isayo. He couldnt man up and just lead the damn alliance. What he did was run forums and killboard, and do station payouts. Everything else, EVERYTHING ELSE, was done by others. He couldnt take the heat of people complaining about random stupid ****, and gave up. All that said, he was still probably the best IAC had for a leader at any time - he didnt get in the way of people who would do the work.
I didnt attack people in IAC, I pointed out the complete flaming morons like Infinity Shock and Death and gods know who else. I was proven right every single time. Every one. Each time. Be bitter all you like that I made you or your corp look stupid, you deserved it.
And as for the post later in this thread... when did I ride the goon road to victory? You must have been ratting for awhile. IAC started the attacks on BoB in catch(all be it with little success). And WHEN goons came, they came with less than half of their real numbers, though that was still a match to our own. We didnt sideline at ALL in the retake of Catch. I was on every single day with Scavok and Humble and Sesfan and Thundirr working to retake that space. BoB didnt just retreat right away. You must have missed the pos battles in 5-n2 and FAT while you were off marketing or something. IAC never ONCE slacked in retaking Catch, EVER. Through MY fleets and the overall high success of IAC at the time thanks to those like Humble and Thundirr, IAC were on a high road. Goons obviously played a huge part in winning, but as far as catch and 49 goes.. they did NOT do more than IAC did. Early on in the war on BoB IAC were pushing hard. It was the leading of IAC that killed my time and ability to run gangs and force me, and us, out of the war in the long run. We never once climbed on anothers back. Not once.

Oh I don't know, I think VileLust did a pretty good job for IAC, he was always a pretty good FC and put in a lot of work while I was on my little break, providing much needed leadership when Isayo failed to and making the IAC fleet pretty impressive there for a while, too bad it didn't last.
Anyone masochistic enough to hand out pvp loot and handle a lot of the POS and logistics gruntwork deserves some respect.. and he did that in addition to being the main FC and diplomat, handling communication and coordination with Goons and TCF (and MC for that matter)
He's definitely given about a thousand times as much to IAC as you have, Mr. I've had a mothership for months but wouldn't dream of showing up for alliance capital ops..

You greatly exaggerate his contribution. He was obnoxious, annoying, inept, and his only talent was giving the illusion of contributing while in actuality using IAC for his own ends with no concern for any of the other members of the alliance. Similar to yourself...which is the only reason I can see as to why you hold him in such high regard. Another of his redeeming qualities was the entertainment value of the temper tantrums he threw any time he perceived his fragile little ego being bruised. The only reason he lasted so long was his marginally acceptable FCing ability.
IACs mascot has contributed about a thousand times as much to IAC as you have, Mr. I am so morally corrupt I consider stealing motherships from alliance mates acceptable.

-A- are doing what they're doing because they can, not because they have some secret molotov/ribbentrop pact or NAP going on. No point in sitting around getting bored waiting for BoB to invade
Equally IAC are active and fighting back. But the weighting is not in their favour. -A- have not made mistakes, and left little opportunity for IAC to strike back.
I'm sure BoB won't pass up the opportunity to take on -A-. Not sure who I'd want to win mind you

Yeah he was obnoxious, annoying, threw temper tantrums and had a fragile ego, doesn't change the fact he contributed a very great deal and put in a TON of good work for the alliance, you wouldn't know about that since you weren't involved in anything beyond the corporate level in GENCO. He was never inept, altho he certainly did make a pretty stupid choice in hitching Odyssey's wagon to MC
For a guy who earlier claimed to barely remember him you sure do have strong opinions about him and his contributions.
Quote: illusion of contributing while in actuality using IAC for his own ends with no concern for any of the other members of the alliance. Similar to yourself...
Now that's just silly, his contributions weren't the least bit illusional, any more than mine were.
Yes I was using IAC for my own entertainment, so I could play in alliance/coalition level politics and intrigue, but the stronger the alliance the more useful it was to me so I don't really see anything you could complain about there, I did a great job in my time as IAC's leader, first as diplomat and then as dictator.
I don't know that VileLust had any ulterior motives, I never saw any indication of him using IAC for his own ends, were you referring to anything in particular ?
Quote: IACs mascot has contributed about a thousand times as much to IAC as you have, Mr. I am so morally corrupt I consider stealing motherships from alliance mates acceptable.
Actually nobody and nothing has contributed more to IAC than I have and it was corpmates Wyverns

So, Tercios moved in and have been good target practice. -A- also drop good loot, so please keep coming to f4r2 .

With all these fights IAC is more fun then it ever was.
For anyone who are into serious pvp, IAC are the alliance to be in atm, and if you like building stuff, they will sell like they never hit the market.
We normaly have several fights each day with various outcomes. Big props to Outbreak, AAA who are our toughest opponents atm, and everyone else who are regular visitors in our space. Not to forget to mention all our citizens such as the honrouble Vanguard Alliance that never says no to a fight alongside IAC.
And for all our opponents, plese keep those nano 25kms "clown-crows" comming, nothing beats looting a 300 mill ceptor. Especially if it coudn't hit anything during the battle.
AAA and BOB as said earlier by someone else ,both are scared crap for each other. If something ignites there, Eve-o are in for titan vs titan battles for sure, thats why that conflict has not escalated, to much on stake, and to much to be lost.
Regarding bob pets they do not do much unless supported by BOB(they needed help from a BOB Avatar to rep a station a few days back)
So with that said BOB and AAA for sure have a unspoken "Don't pis5 them off" agreement, with random and few fights every now and then for "visibility" and to lure their members to think that they actually are fighting each other for real, in that almost non-exsisting conflict.
Neither AAA or BOB have made a real move against the other, and that only verifies how scared both are of a real conflict.
