Is it possible to entirely delete/disband a corp so that the ticker can be reused? |

Yeah, when everyone leaves the corp is disbanded and the name and ticker can be reused.

There is no way to "delete" a corp. Once everyone leaves it simply goes to a closed status. Also, once closed, they can never be reopened.

The name and ticker can be reused though. I recently was in a one-man Corp, so I didn't have to listen to the Corp window, and I decided to join a different corp. Later, I made the exact same corp on a different toon. Same ticker and all!

I created, then disbanded, a corp for my alt. I spelled the name incorrectly. 
I created the newer one, and I think I got to reuse the ticker. Funny thing is, the 1000 initial shares (or whatever) in my Journal show the original, misspelled name.
I hope it doesn't come back to bite me if I ever issue new shares or something. CCP said there's nothing they can do.

You can't "delete" a corp, only it's CEO/owners can. You'll have to declare war on them, grief them until they're on their knees, then demand as ransom that they give you the corp or delete it.
