I need to make 1500 Graviton Pulse Generators, But due to the new way production wastage is calculated introduced a few patches ago, The most i can make in any batch (without increasing material requirements) is 10 units
This is Fecking Bullcrap
Its hard enough to compete in eve production markets with players undercutting each other by 0.0isk ect, and the last thing we need is a wastage penalty for producing large batches.
When are you CCP / Devs going to fix this issue? its been known about since it was introduced and you have done f'all about it.
Its all very well giving us shinny new expansions, but you need to fix the old issues as well.
This is a major issue effecting every producer in eve and needs to be put on the priority list.

Did you bug report as per the instructions in one of the sticky threads in this forum?
I am having a hard time realizing what it is you are describing, please file a detailed bug report with screenshots and specific reproduction steps that clearly lead to the error you want fixed. ------------------

There is something in the FW patchnotes about the waste calculations being corrected but no details were given, so I do not know what they were corrected _to_

Its a well know issue that the devs responsible are well aware of....
Previously the wastage % of a given BP was rounded down so you research a BP to perfect build with 0% wastage
Now the wastage calc is rounded up and calculated for the intire batch, the resut of the is that the larger the batch size, the more materials are required.
I nee to produce 1500 Graviton Pulse Generators which require 2 Nanotransistors per unit to make, so for 1500 units i should require 3000 units of nanotransistors.
But due to the way the wastage is now calculated, i actually require 3,060 units of nanotransistors to make a batch of 1500 Pulse Generators.
As stated this issue is well known by the devs of introduced the new system of calculating the waste and should not require bug reporting.
A fix for the issue was promised months ago

If you read the patch notes then you'll see that about half or more of it consists of fixes. Here are a few links. Please note the amount of bug fixes:

From what I can see on Singularity at the moment it takes 2000 units of Nanotransistors to build 1000 units of Graviton Pulse Generators with PE at lvl5 (3000 with PE at lvl0), I tried this with a BPC at ME 10 and ME 1000.
Does this resolve your issue? ------------------

I apologise for my rant, I had just transported more than 70km3 of materials 15 jumps from lag central.... erm Jita (2 trips in an Occator) and was frustrated to discover i did not have enough and felt the urge to let of some steam
The devs do a great job

P.S that had to be one of the fastest dev responses i've seen on the forums. Maybe i should let off steam a bit more often

I'm happy this has been changed back, but when this first went in, I complained and the devs said this was not a bug, that the change had been very much intentional.
I hope this doesn't keep flip-flopping every patch as different devs think it should be the other way.

Looks like it. I was just quoted 0.0% waste on a ME 50 t2 component BPO for a batch of 10'000 units.
