It seems to me that m0o are now striking and aiming to get into small corps and ruin them before they get going.
A guy joined my corp when it begun and wanted to do production - I agreed and so he did it for a few days while the rest of the corp worked towards bigger and better BP's.
Later on - I sit in my station and notice that this guy is stealing everything he can - there is nothing I can do about it cos the game has no such functions or anything.
He also began tuanting me and being generally abusive - and there was nothing i can do about it.
All I can sya is - to all new forming corps out there - watch out cos m0o are getting inot new corp - watching them grow then taking everything and selling it on to fund there wars.
The operative in question goes by the name of Isis Knight but I bet the money has been passed on and the character deleted by now.
I would like to finally thank CCP for making a great game so easily defeated and destroyed - this is the second time this has happened to me, I was in CT when they were stolen from. How can we totaly protect stuff when we don't have the tools to do so - and what can we do when things go wrong - absolutlely nothing - it would be great if we could have company insurance but we don't and thus we lost everything. Why can factory operatives take things out of the hanger - when all they really need to do is put stuff into factories - i think that should be change straight away.
thanx CCP for making this game very easy for people to join a corp - earn peoples trust steal as mush as they can, leave - delete there char and then leave no traces of ever existing - and cheers m0o for being complete utter B******s and ruining the game for another 25 people. ----------------------------------------------- I am Hideki, I have spoken and you will listen. |

I agree that they simply need to remove the ability to remove minerals or prints when you grant members factory access. Hopefully the new security levels will work.
At Omega Corp we only allow the ceo access. Yes this is a large amount of work and requires 2 accounts however it is the only sure way until the bugs are worked out. Until then I suggest the same approach by other corps.

We only let members play with copys. If they steal them..oh well we make more after we rid ourselves of the thief ;)
As for ore.... Mega and zyd we put small amounts into the factory hangar and watch what is being built there. The rest of the ore, we keep enough to build whatever we need there ( anywhere from 100k to a few million units at a time ) the rest we keep locked away.

Also watch out for the new corp. PCD inc (or PDC). Its founder is Flibble (of m0o).

Why are you granting "Newbs" in your corporation access to your complete assets?? If your concerned about security simply dont hand it out or put what is important in the hangers. You should do what is originally intended and that is promote a few trustworthy members and make them "Station Managers" then you wont have that problem

Before you establish yourself as a new small corp, take a day to think about what is needed for corp management. assign realisic roles, granting corp access according to these roles, assign access according to rank (or time served if you do not use a rank system) When a new corp is starting out, it may be difficult as you might be trying to fill higher rank positions, but after you are successful, you must carefully manage new members. I am not trying to be smart (as much of this is common sense), but I am trying to stress what is typed here, as it would prevent much of corp theft. We know now, that you should screen shot, the items taken, and report it right away to a GM. The player will be investigated, and will have his account suspended. If it's worth 80 dollars for people to commit this thievery then so be it.
In a real corp in the real world sometimes people steal pens from their desk and paperclips, but do they run off with the corporation vehicles and tear down their 70 story building? Do they get away with it...
nope, and those who beleive they will get away with this kind of theivery will soon find out they are very wrong.

Once they have incorporated enough features and failsafes, they will hopefully no longer police this for CEO's who are irresponsible. The corporate hanger modifications are a large step. If I leave my wallet on a park bench, someone WILL take it... Ensign hyden(Mining & Transport) - Logistics Division - Hadean Drive Yards

You mean to tell me that if someone is reckless enough to hand over asset control to a stranger, the GM's will punish the person that abuses that priviledge?
That is ridiculous. There was no game abuse...no exploit. That person was explicitly given the ability to do anything he would like with all assets in the corp hangar.
He did just that. That person played well within the game rules, and turned it to his advantage. It's not his fault he's more cunning than the trusting CEO that handed over corp assets to a stranger.

our corporation was robbed, supposedly of m0o causes. if anyone sees "woody cutter" please notify us and know that he is a liquidator. is there any way to have the GMs suspent his account and return the lost items? he took all our blueprint copies and 103 million isk. Hrm, it seems like a lot of people are getting taken because they just aren't careful enough. I agree that this kind of "steal from a corp with my alt, transfer all to 'real' character" nonsense is exceedingly lame, it really should not happen as much as it seems to.
The key is to NOT give factory, hangar or accountant privileges to people who you do trust implicitly. For me, that requires that other person to put in some serious face time, doing a lot for the corp, talking with other members, things like that, before I'll even CONSIDER giving someone any privileges above general pilot. BPs and millions of ISK in cash are far too valuable to give everyone access to it. I've found that the people in my corp have been fine with the arrangement, as long as they can get the things they need and talk to the directors or other managers for things they need outside of their privileges. Don't give people who just joined your corp access to the corporate treasury, corporate ships, or anything more than ammo for a while while you try to get a read on them. And be VERY wary of someone who keeps bugging you for more privs.
I know this is going to bother a lot of corps, who are worried that they won't be able to recruit as many people because they aren't as open about everything. I'd say that you don't want people who are going to demand access to everything right away and don't want to work with the team for a while before getting a promotion. Let them go to some other corporation that will probably get shafted. Concentrate on quality, not quantity. 5 or 6 good people you can trust and work with everyone else for the good of the whole are worth far more than 20 people you have to be worried about stealing from you at the first opportunity.

Okay, here's how I see it.
Keep your valuables only in the possession of people you can trust, players can and will steal from you if they are able to and that way inclined, and this is gameplay that CCP supports.
However, if someone was using exploits in order to instate themselves in the corp (increase their security level, get corp wallet access, etc.) and steal your belongings, that's a little different.
You really need to be careful about who you give access to what resources. Take advantage of the different roles and security statuses, do not dish them out to everyone unless you're a tightly-knit group. --

Hi hardworking co-players,
I am CEO of Evision Enterprise (short Evision) and we were indeed hacked by Isis "don't we love em all" Knight. I want to make clear that we are NOT PART OF MOO, nor have any intentions to ever do so! We are a neutral corporation that is here to serve others by delevering financial services and realizing our customers dreams. Unfortunately grief players occasionally find a way to really mess things up for everyone, but i sure hope Hideki can remove the assumption post about us being part of MOO. Thank in advance Starzan
