I find it interesting, in this rather agitated time, that the only government that isn't either falling apart or attacking it's own citizens is the Amarr Empire. For years we loyal supporters of the Empire have endured the derrision of the other peoples of the galaxy, but now our faith is being rewarded.
The peoples of the Amarr Empire are united in faith and that unity will prove unstoppable in the event of conflict with our neighbours. Despite what certain elements of the Minmatar/Gallente axis would have you believe, the Empire is not a weak, obsolete entity...it is in fact a sleeping giant, one you really do not want to wake.

Amarr Victor!
It is a shame however that this message has been disgraced by the actions of the former Admiral Saracen.

So either a traitor was supported on a rogue military operation or the leader of the Empire, in the absence of an Emperor, is insane? Truly the Empire is fine condition!

It is too early to draw any firm conclusions regarding the Chamberlain and Admiral Saracen.

Still anyone who helped the Admiral is under suspicion. It would be best for the Amarrian Government to disarm all those who associated with Saracen until the matter is resolved.

From what I understood when I read the report, Admiral Saracen is being labeled a traitor for attempting something very like what the first King Khanid achieved. The accusations of overstepping his operational mandate would be a logical extension of this charge. (I am sure the Chancellor did not instruct Saracen to form his own little petty kingdom out there.)
I am also sure that Admiral Saracen used his position, influence, and personal allure to misinform the various para-military organizations and to allay suspicions of himself. It also helps to have the support of your staff to organize a military takeover of a region that is not personally beholden to you (King Khanid I did not have to worry about that, he already owned the systems he took control of) so detaining the Admirals staff is also a logical step.
Every society has its power-mongers and individuals that would be glad to step up and take the throne or even split off a small fiefdom from their respective nations. Few have the ability or political savvy to make these actions work long term though (The various members of the Khanid Family are an exception here) and generally cause many more problems than they are worth.
One more thing to note. Saracen, if guilty of this, has failed, and will be punished as the law requires. It would be better if there were an Emperor to pass judgement on him, but he will be judged nonetheless. This action of his is a scandal, but little more then that. It has not destabilized the Empire, the Chancellor and the Theology Council have things in hand, and it is business as usual in the halls of government. A powerful man made a grab for more power, and failed, another will take his place in time and Saracen will be forgotten.

I'm sure that when the Amarrian government wants advice from stinking terrorist scum dedicated to their destruction, you'll be amongst the first people that they call.
Until then, silence dog.

I agree, the relative stable Amarr Empire once again holds the key to peace. It will be their choice in the Starkmanir Issue and their action in ending slavery of our people that determines if the weapons remain silent.
However, the Empire will likely not opt for peace. Their Zealotry of late is stronger than ever.
I fear the worst.

You didn't have anything to do with the supposed traitor did you Rodj? I hear that some Ammarian loyalist corps did help out the traitor, but I doubt PIE would be so stupid.

I find the manner in which you make mockery of the Holy Scriptures most displeasing.
A display of such hypocritical insensitivity whilst claiming to uphold values of freedom is only to be expected from your kind. Amarr Victor |
