how well do hurricanes do in lvl 4 missions, what would be a good set up to deal with lvl 4 missions from a public relations agent in amarr space?
Ladies and gentlemen, we will shortly be experiencing some exploding followed by some crashing...so i'd hold on if i were you! |

if you fit it like a drake i expect it to work...maybe drop alittle tank for an AB to get in orbit range if you want to use autos...
Playing minmatar is "like going down a flight of stairs in a office chair firing an Uzi". |

Just... no. You'll do better in level 3s.

it works fine, almost as well as a drake will(if not better, since it has instant dps, and doesn't have to wait for missiles to hit.
6x 650mm arty II 2x heavy missile launcher II
2x large shield extender II 2x mission specific hardeners II
3-6x shield power relay II 0-3x gyrostabilizer II
tank is around 600 dps tanked a second(with 1 gyro fit, and 5 SPR's), and it deals around 300 dps. works perfect for lvl IV's, just switch the gyro's and SPR's around when you need more tank or more gank, etc.

Don't give this guy dumb advice. The DPS is pathetic, your range is crap, and tank is subpar at best. You'll make more ISK, LP, and standing per hour doing level 3s than 4s in a cane.

Well, public relations gives lots of hauling missions, so put the lows full of expanders and you'll be fine!

you're joking right? all the hurricane's stats are almost exactly the same as what you'll get on a drake, but of course since it's not the ''passive tank monster'' it's going to run a bit short. a 55km range on your guns is quite plenty in most missions, especially since it hits immediately and you don't have to wait for your missiles to travel. drake's stats are something around 200-300 dps dealt, 500-700 dps tank, 60-80km range. hurricane has the same dps, alot more if you're shooting at things closer than you(using close range ammo), tank is around 400-600, and your range is anywhere from like 15-65km's range.
i don't see how that's dumb advice, it'll more than suffice for missions, it just won't be QUITE as mindless as a drake inside of a mission.

lol, just lol
A T2 tank on a Drake is almost 25% higher DPS tanked that the fit you just posted. And the Drake is an omni-tank; no need to switch hardeners. Anything less than full tank on your setup will melt under most level 4s and even struggle in some level 3s. One resist modules per damage type will not do level 4s effectively even with a high recharge.
The only T1-ship passive tank that can match the drake's is the Myrmi's; the only reason it can is because it has an additional mid-slot over the Hurricane AND doesn't need to use any grid for its guns so it can mount a full rack of extenders if needed.

Not it isn't, people should be encouraged to get out in low sec space, but never forced to do so.

To be quite honest you would do better going for a battleship (the phoon is just a little beauty) - I once did Angel Extravaganza in my trusty cane and simply breaking the bigger spawns' tanks were very time consuming.. Not something I'll ever do again!
