r u serios techorz0? i cant be bothered to look at patch nots but if this is true it is a nother hammer blow from the carebear contingent. ccp panda (panda is a bear you will notice) to the carebear needs everytime and not to the pirate need nor the solo fighter need nor the blobist need.
why is it ccp listen only to the bear?

Yeah, and the future of that isn't guaranteed either. The carebear /non pvp scum are taking control slowly but surely. Look at the recent elections recently, most of the winning candidates , the dregs/carebear filth that now have influences over ccp

Not really, all the Lofty did was discourage cooperation in an MMO (given it's an MMO, that's kinda stupid, don't you think?). If you really want to kill someone, war dec and shoot (yah, I know, people hide in npc corps, but that's a separate problem and should be dealt with separately).
Encouraging face-raping should be Eve's MO, not some silly 'let's get around the war dec mechanic by using a lame gang-oversight' trick. It's like shooting wrecks to keep an aggro timer going. Lame.

you "pvpers" do realize that griefer carebears and mission runners who are ill prepared for pvp is not actually pvp right?
There is not any way you bubs can ever call yourself pvpers, just call eachother gankers, and give yourselves high fives.

You realize that roaming nano gangs of "carebears" in 0.0 killing a pirate who is ratting his sec back up is the same thing that we do to their "defenseless" ships in high/low sec?

I did get a rokh to shoot my rifter the other day, couldn't break his tank so I came back and killed him with a mission fit megathron

Oh shut up, Take your im better than you attitude and go away.
I do lowsec, I do 0.0, I do wardecs. I used this to kill those very expensive setups that are worth more than you have ever had in this game.
Take it from a master bear ganker anyway, this tactic was dieing out. At least with the expensive fits anyway. Most faction pilots knew it so it was not an issue that needed to be fixed.

Actually I didn't so much run as realize I had to go. Sorry for making you go and fetch that arbitrator though. Cruiser 1v1 to make it up to you?
But yeah, main objective is to get not so smart people in shiny mission ships to shoot the rifter. The occasional "real" pvp is just a bonus.

The lofty scam was pretty lame. My corporation consists of carebears to the larger part. And we all know, that "helping" others in missions will get your ship killed in most cases. So we just don't join up corp outsiders in PvE. And I think that most other people do so, too.
With the new patch, the dangers of joining fleets in highsec are reduced. As someone stated before, this is a MMO. More fleets? MMO? Sounds like a no-brainer for me.
Just probe them and loot their wrecks instead. The idiots, that fell to a lofty, are probably stupid enough to shoot you.

You know the good part of EvE that drew in most of the older playerbase/pirates/greifers is really the fact that you can do what you want whether that be greifing (just not in noob systems) or suicide ganking or ANY form of pvp that you may want. The fact that CCP continue to change the game to how ONE GROUP of players play (a very small group mind you) is just ridiculous.
Now i wont whine and say change it back cause since im a pirate CCP wont do anything to help me out. But i will say to the people congratulating this: Just cause your too terrible of a player to read (and its absolutely everywhere) about this scam and how to easily avoid it doesnt mean you have to change the game to make it so that you dont have to think.

Fear not, you may not be able to use this 'lofty' trick anymore, but there's plenty of ways to exploit the upcoming Militia system to suprise tk-pwn people, by using a char in the same militia. All abit more low-sec, but still should bring some easy gankage

People actually think ANYONE used the Lofty for the pvp? It's a way to make ISK and a hell of a lot faster than running missions I might add.
While I agree it's a bit lame I still think it should have been a valid tactic, but the reason they changed it might not be because they cater to carebears but actually a way to fix any possible issues with the FW wars.

Well, the plus side to this is:

edit: but yeah, Eve was getting alittle too dark... is worst than Michael Jackson's basement at one point..
