Originally by: Grismar I ran into a new bug with the current (3582 client, Oct 23 2005) IGB version.
When you set the 'action' attribute for a form with the 'get' method to something containing query variables, for instance:
<form action="form.php?somevar="something" method="get"> <input type="text" name="test"> <input type="submit" value="go"> </form>
And you enter "testvalue" into the text field and then post it, the IGB will try to load:
http://somesite.com/form.php?somevar=something?test=testvalue
While it -should- load:
http://somesite.com/form.php?somevar=something&test=testvalue
Notice that's wrong. Whenever You got such situation, rewrite Your form in this manner:
<form action="form.php" method="get"> <input type="hidden" name="somevar" value="something"/> <input type="text" name="test"/> <input type="submit" value="go"/> </form>
It's only one -correct- solution. And -real- bug is that IGB not strips "?somevar=something" part from form's "action" attribute (they -should- do that to produce correct URL "form.php?test=something" instead of "form.php?somevar=something?test=something" !)
And remember that this note must not affect POST forms.

Originally by: Vyger Is there an IGB command for linking to a Contract?
Nothing in the 'documentation' so I am not holding out much hope but thought I'd ask anyway.
If not it would great if there was something like a <A HREF=”showcontract:contractID”> ... </A> (plus a way of finding out the contract id of course)
Use "contract:" proto as shown in the chat input field when You drop contract there and hover mouse over generated link. <a href="contract:30003517//905752">Contract</a>

Sounds like You set up Your server incorrectly. Can You PLEASE provide a link to Your test pages?
At least, try this script: http://project.dyndns.org/EVE/test.php
Quote: <html><body><?php if(array_key_exists('test', $_POST)) { echo "<p>Input is: " . htmlspecialchars($_POST['test']) . "</p>"; } ?> <form action="test.php" method="post"> <p>Name: <input type="text" name="test"/> <input type="submit"/></p> </form> </body></html>

Try to add <input type="submit" value="Send"/> to Your form. Or it may be a known issue with forms+tables messing.
Anyway, I think, dropping the "action" attribute is an undocumented feature of many browsers. Better to not do that. If You use some arguments in both POST and GET requests, try complex _REQUEST autoglobals and add some hidden fields to Your form to reflect _GET part.
Details above in this thread (see my posts). -- . |

Ah, and deeply study PHP, because _REQUEST and _POST is a PHP variables, and NOT a form methods! -- . |

Daaaang! Ok, look here.
You have a page. I.e. dumb.php, which serve as a core of Your site, and all modules called like http://project.dyndns.org/EVE/dumb.php?m=module
Now, You have one form in one module and You need to return some info from them to proper module.
You have two absolutely correct ways to do that.
1. Use POST method with "action" parameter. <form method="post" action="?m=module"> <input type="text" name="data" value="some" readonly="readonly"/> <input type="submit" value="Submit data"/> </form>
2. Use GET method with hidden fields. <form method="get"> <input type="hidden" name="m" value="module"/> <input type="text" name="data" value="some" readonly="readonly"/> <input type="submit" value="Submit data"/> </form>
You can test that page provided by me. -- . |

When You try to use IGB functionality in security purposes (i.e. for authorisation), You make a great mistake. IGB functions can be easily substituted by anyone.
So, You must use IGB functions in security-related tasks only AFTER proper authorisation (f.e. by login/password) or in parallel with it. -- . |

Originally by: Padaxes Yeah ive got the image working now. Im interested in how to get dynamic images refreshing correctly. I seem to have to right click then refresh image THEN refresh page. And even then its sporadic.
Add somewant randseed to script which generates dynamic image.

Originally by: Kitty Kupcake Is there a way to make inline div's that resemble a table. An explanation of what I am referring to is as follows.
Ok so I have a list of portraits and info after them. There are two requirements I would like. 1- Do not use TD per portrait, if possible do not use tables at all 2- The portraits have to wrap around within a confined space
The following is an OOGB example of how I would like it to look IGB.
http://www.evolon-project.com/projects/lists.html
When viewed in game, the portraits do not float next to each other. Instead each div creates a new line. Am I coding it wrong, or is there another way I can do what I am requiring?
Please do not refer me to the commands page or the Test case page. I have been to both throughly. The section on the Test case page relating to Inline divs, gives me a "Not Found" when clicked. So if you can post back an example that would be AWESOME!
Thanks
I think, there is a bug in rendering. And not only one.

Originally by: Morphed Override working on a website and noticed that when it asked to be trusted, if i clicked, "Do Not Ask Me Again For This Site Again" and then clicked YES, it would save it has Not Trusted.
Ok perhaps its something wrong with my code. Tried with the bughunters page ( http://bughunters.addix.net/igbtest/ingametest.php ) and same thing happened :/
any ideas?
BTW just clicking yes and not selecting the Do Not Ask Again.... option works fine.
Looks like bug. I was got same problem but not check it and forgot to report.
Originally by: ****ins Cider Greetings,
I, like many others, have been working on some IGB pages and other eve tools. I seem to spend much of this development time on the train commuting back and forth to work. It would be great if I had a way to test IGB pages out-of-game (I know, sounds silly). I don't always have the luxury of an Internet connection to run the EVE client. Is there any way I can test IGB pages out-of-game?
Thank you, DC
Try to check it against XHTML STRICT and not use too much tables. It'll work ok with good chances. -- . |

Bump - all stil there.
Broken examples.
Quote: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Sun, 18 Feb 2007 22:09:04 GMT Server: Apache/2.0.52 (Win32) PHP/4.3.1 Accept-Ranges: bytes X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.1 Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8
Not affects anything, but EVE herself uses UTF-8 as internal encoding.. So strange for me...
<head> <base href="http://somesite/somepath/"/> Same as above - no effect.
<a name="name"/> Looks great... Must not be seen at all. Anyway I recommend to make IGB compatible with XHTML strict standard. This may helps You so much in development because You always can check player's pages outside of IGB and tell to him that their page not conform to standard. And You may save great amount of time by using one of standard parsers or write Your own - much simple in case of strict standard.
<a href="shellexec:mailto:[email protected]?...."> URL not supported.. Are "shellexec:http://" hardcoded?? Why??
