Edited by: BiggestT on 07/06/2008 14:19:43 Well ive heard many a complaint about this but cant find any official post.
So ill make one. For me, and almost every1 ive talked to (in real game) about the test server lately, they simply cant get on.
Ive never had problems getting on sisi before, but as soon as i downloaded the patch for empyrean age, it just says "incompatible (version)" Repeatedly i have copied my main folder to another, manually applied patch to no avail.
I even tried deleting my test eve folder. Copying the old again and applying all latest test patchs again. Didnt work.
Some one plz help.

If some1 replies and helps out ill give them a bug i found (serious) the only reason i havnt submitted it is: a) cant get on sisi lol b) never really learned how to report bugs
*note its more of a technical error than a bug..

Edited by: BiggestT on 07/06/2008 14:53:00 Thx :) well ill post it in here neway coz im really useless at the bufg reporting stuff.
The bug/error/glitch is associated with mirrors. I changed my password on my account, and need that new password to log into tq. However, When i logged on to sisi, i had to use my old password, as it was copied when my old main had the old password.
Is this a glitch? does it matter? thanks..

Glad to help.
The reason for this is that when we mirror. We take all the info currently on Tranquility and put it on Singularity, this includes your password you had during the time the mirror was taken. That password is then the password you have to use for Singularity until next mirror.
This is not a bug. It is simply the way it works.

I suggest you do it all over again.
1. Make a copy of your eve folder. 2. Download the TQ -> Singularity patch 3. Apply the patch to the copy you just made in step 1. 4. Create a shortcut for the eve.exe file and follow the instructions here: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=46836&page=1#5 5. Run the client using the shortcut 6. Enjoy.

When you run your patched test client and it says "Incompatible version" does it also say that it's trying to connect to TQ?
Shortly before release we start building the test clients as proper TQ clients. To use those clients against SiSi you have to find eve.exe, create a shortcut to it, then open the shortcut's properties and add "/server:Singularity" to the end of the command line.

Ive done this several times. When it asks to conenct to tq, i then make a shortcut to eve.exe and at propertyies i put in that stuff at the end.
Whats wierd tho, is when i do that it takes me not the empyrean age login with the orange plaent, but to the old tq blue screen with the sign...And again, it says incompatible (version)
Here may be why: my eve.exe file is actually called eve.exe(safe mode)..this usual? Is that whats stuffing it up?
