I have a few labs in Hahda, which I generally keep busy doing BPC's for my factories in Luminaire.However, I'm considering letting one or two out for a while. here's how I see it working:
People would leave BP's in Hahda for me on Escrow, the Escrow being very slightly less then the lowest market sell price. (i.e, a 2 mill ISK BP gets placed in escrow to me for 1,999,000 say). this way, you're covered (apart from a grand) in case I run off with your BP, and I'm covered because if you don't come back I'll sell your BP for 1,999,000 and get a quick sale for being the cheapest on the market.
Anyhow, continuing the above example I take the BP out of escrow and do whatever needed in my labs according to your requirements. I then place it back in escrow to you along with any coppies etc you might want for 1,999,000 to get back my 'collateral' plus whatever we agree is a suitable fee for my services and lab time.
I'll happily take on any BP size, but i can't really stand tons of collateral for cruiser and upwards so you may need to take me on trust or let me have some of your smaller BP's to work with first and build up a good relationship till your happy.
The only thing I'm undecided on is a suitable rate for the job and whether I should charge by day, by copy, by ME or PE level etc. So, I'm open to suggestions and offers in this thread and will convo or eve mail those which look interesting. I'd consider taking on a contract with an interested corp. I would be interested in taking copies of some BP's as payment instead of cash
This is a genuine offer from a long time player, check my info and you'll see I have no problems with anyone in game. I think I've also devised a method here where both parties are safe from getting ripped off.
Anyone interested? Make me an offer.........

Doesn't look like I have any takers though, ans I thought it was a pretty good idea. Am I missing something folks?

I heard on reliable source that Dave Day is swisher's alt and Marcsen is Borg Fusion's alt. Miz is also involved in this one and its the third reference that you will get in your eve-mail.

Don't be stupid........Even if I were an alt it'd make no difference because basically i'm offering to buy the damn BP's off people as security while I do the work.

I agree people are clearly cynical about the idea but i don't see why, I'm offering to give them market value of their BP as security while I work on it, what else can I do?
No takers? I'm not looking to rip anyone off. If there's another way to do this then I'm open to suggestions. I'm just trying to make some cash and fill a niche in the market

C'mon folks, in a nutshell I'm offering to do your research for you if you can't find a lab. Talk to me and suggest a way we can do it that you're happy with if you don't like my suggestion.
Give me one or two of your smaller BP's, which I'LL BUY FROM YOU AS SECURITY and see if I get the work done.
I'm open to ideas and my rates are up for discussion......If anyone can see a way that this could be a scam then please let me know, because I can't.

seems a good idea, but there is issues I see with this like,
idiot 1, gives Dave a battleship blueprint to research, dave buys it researches it and copies it, he then used a copy so its 0 runs, put it back on escrow saying its researched, idiot 1 takes the blueprint gives the isk back and losses a billion isk blueprint.
also dave could copy the blue print over and over and make lots of cash

Hmmm....But Idiot one wouldn't be out of pocket because Dave bought his BP at market price from escrow prior to working on it.. Also, when Dave places it back on escrow Idiot 1 would check merchandise and see the runs remaining (which you can do by resizing the window).
I thought it was a good idea, but i'm starting to wish I hadn't bothered. i'm not that hard up for the ISK and I can always find something for the labs to do. i honestly thought that I might be doing a few folk a good turn and make some ISK in the meantime.
Offer still stands but it's getting tiring, any takers?

Well Dave, I would try to not to bother about the comments from the likes of m0o anyway as they are not likely users of the service.
Good luck with you project. I think you got a good plan there as the concept looks solid and safe to me...

I explained from the outset that I can't stand the collateral for Cruiser BP's and upwards. I won't take a BP in to research without buying it from the owner as security for them. How can I possibly rip them off? If anything I'm the one who runs the risk of getting stuck with a ton of frigate BP's that I don't want.
Forget it, I'll just stick a shuttle BP in to research to ME 100 till I need the lab again. I felt sorry for the folk I keep seeing complaining that they can't get any research done and I thought this would be an all round win for those involved, but all I've had is people implying that I'm trying to scam them. I have 6 labs in Hahda, good luck to those of you who can't find any, it's not my problem. I'm alright Jack.

Why don't you take a punt and buy popular BP's yourself, research them and then resell for a profit?
I agree that a lot of people are very nervous about trusting others but you can't really blame when they face scammers daily (escrow being an obvious place).
I offered to swap a built ship with someone for the minerals to save them wasting money and they still were scared to trade
