Probably wrong forum and probably already mentioned but:
The CCP verisign SSL certificate expires 08.06.08, hope someone from CCP updates it soon, not that it matters drastically but there will be warning messages everywhere.

Yeah I just got one and was like "wth?"..
The forum has been bugging out alot lately aswell, like trying to quote or make a reply and it just takes you to the top of the page your at, and sometimes when you click post and the white text box just goes empty..

i think someone from CCP forgot either forgot to install the new certificate, or, heaven forbid forgot to renew it.
anyways, this kind of thing happens from time to time in companies but its pretty standard procedure to renew these certs.
the only issue for CCP if some smarty wrote an article about it the SSL certificate expiring on the CCP website and how it appears to be unsafe eg updating your details, etc, i have seen this (forgotten to update SSL certs) quite a few times before and it can create a security drama bomb for no reason (people's perception).

t20 was a UI designer who spawned sabre and ammo bpos for bob not to mention leading their capital fleet
this explains why the UI is terrible and no one takes CCP seriously

Hope this is fixed soon, I had to bypass my security settings just to post here, and I can't access my account settings while the SSL is not up to date, or access my API keys.

Aye seems to be new certificate time for lots of sites my alliance forums using some dodgy unsigned certificate and they want me to install opera so i can use it bah lol yeah get a proper certificate first.

not a whole lot in fact you can make your own ssl certifcates just that your browser won;nt recongize them as being trusted but the versign company has deals with broswers that makes them auto trusted and so they can sell you a quite expensive certificate to say yoru trusted. companies who sell stuff ect who need to use secure protocvolls like https ect need a certifcate otherwise errors pop up everywhere and they lose business. versign will jut about sell anyone a certficate so its entirerly useless except to generate versign more dollars. They are a bit like the mafia extorting money from shops ect.
